Very sad update from owner via PM to me on Facebook "I’m sorry to share the sad news but Dora was found today, having passed away from falling into the Thames. Thank you for your help and support."
Sam
Hello,

I’ve spotted an animal corpse that looks like it could be a dog on a walk today between Kingston and Richmond by the side of the path. Quite near teddington Lock. It’s on the closer side to the river.

Didn’t think much of it and thought it might have been a fox until I spotted the poster closer to Richmond.

I’m pretty confident it could be Dora, unfortunately.

This website is pretty hard to navigate on my phone, if anyone needs additional information, please contact me on here and I’ll look out for an email.

I am in touch with owner any help is gratefully received if people are out walking please keep looking out for Dora and if possible check close to the river bank in reeds undergrowth just in case. If anyone is able to help by printing posters and putting them up owner would very much appreciate this

Sharing widely on local FB groups and on Twitter, including Hammertons Ferry, Environment Agency, Ham & Petersham SOS, Lifeboat etc. Is there a co-ordinated search? Lots of local folk are offering to help. Also, can was she last seen on the towpath or in the Ham lands area? This is vital to know. If she may have gone onto the river bank she may have trouble scrambling back up so a search of the river bank - from boat / drone and land is vital asap. Or god forbid if she is in the River I can check tides when she went missing. I have alerted Drone Sar but don't know if owner has contacted Graham. Also, is there a possibility someone picked her up? There is no telephone number so who should people contact with any information?Last edited: 2024-05-26 10:31:30 by Julie Dogs
