A female chocolate cocker spaniel has been recovered in dubious circumstances from a location in Bedfordshire. It is strongly suspected this dog may be stolen. She is described as an adult (believed to be around 3 years of age) chocolate cocker spaniel, she is quite obedient and may have had limited gundog training in the past. She still has her dew claws. Photo below:-

could it be possible that this dog may be a cocker not a springer, it says dog but could be a generalisation, its not a million miles away if he/she been stolen. 21st Aug 2009, FOUND dog, *

Poster all the pubs, and pub car parks as quickly as possible, bith in the area and further away. They are the sort of places that dogs are sold on very very quickly. Also get people to help you hand out flyers and get posters up at markets, boot fairs and places like that. Good Luck - stay positive and keep getting the publicity out there. May went missing from her owners parents garden at Castle Eaton. She was outside for a short while with other spaniels that she knows well. They came back in and she wasnt with them, she is a very friendly girl who stays close, and knows that area well, always comes to  the whistle and would not have gone off by herself. Owners have contacted all local farmers as its a very rural area, checked anywhere where she might have got caught up, sheds, barns etc. They have contacted police[no joy there!] Told them to ring again and say she might have been stolen and get a crime number. Also to ring DW on a daily basis, They have done all rescues and vets in Oxfordshire, Glos and Wilts, and local media. They are doing their utmost to get May back. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
