Whooo Hooo !!   Excellent news to log on to tonight. So very very happy to see Red is home, and what a strange twist to this story. Helpers on here, you have all been wonderful, and thank you so much for all the help and support you have given Reds owners at this traumatic time. Yes 'The Sulham Woods Posse' has definitely been formed, and you will definitely be called on again if any dogs go missing in your area, but I sincerly hope not many. Have a good celebration tonight, all of you, and a big welcome home to RED. Stay close now sweetheart xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so VERY Happy that Red is back home and I know my husband is happy to get  back access to his computer and printer. I'm still on a high since Heidi phoned me yesterday to tell me that she had Red with her & what an amazing set of circumstances that led Red to safety - he is one very lucky dog!! His owners phoned me while on their way back home with Red - they are over the moon to have Red returned to them safe & sound especially as he wasn't microchipped or tagged but  they've said that will be rectified ASAP. They are extremely grateful to all the helpers from Doglost who put posters up and spread the word and went that extra mile to trace Red! Yassa, when I originally asked for any doglost helpers to try to find Red you said they were very thin on the ground for this area but I reckon you can now bank on Skiff, Heidi, Flick & myself & hopefully others to help out with future missing dogs alias' The Sulham Woods Posse' The info pack re: where to poster etc. is excellent - You are all doing such a fantastic job at Doglost HQ  Many Thanks for making this site possible  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Aaron forgot to add on my txt to you that I've registered  Red  as missing on the National Missing Pet Register. Well done for getting those posters out. If you can put them at the near by supermarkets, pet shops etc as if someone has Red they have to purchase food somewhere. There are loads more suggestions in the package I sent to you. Keep up the good work and stay positive. You've got a lot of good people on your side who are spreading the word.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have passed information of poor missing Red to Jen (tailblazers) as she runs a dog walking business in the West Reading/Tilehurst/Pangbourne area and covers a wide area talking to and getting to know many dog owners/lovers every day. Jen was very helpful in the search for Summer as she had several sightings whilst out exercising dogs. Every little helps !!! Skiff (Siobhan)  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Lydia, My Son ( he was with us the night we searched for Summer) knows a couple of youths in the Burghfield area. He is going to make some discreet enquiries. Will let you know if fruitful. p.s. changed id to nickname. SiobhanLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Yasa thank you so much for the updated posters and flyers plus all the helpful info - I've posted it all to Red's owners so hopefully he will get it  tomorrow. I spoke to him today and he is going to a friends to print off some posters and intends to put them up today so hopefully we might hear something. I've delivered posters to all the surrounding vets which include Castle Hill Vets, Valley Vets in Pangbourne.Tutts Clump, Spencers Wood, The Tilehurst Vets, The Shinfield Vets and the Burghfield Vets. A poster has also been put up at the Pet shop in Pangbourne also posters at Sulham Woods. Heidi,Siobhan & Flick are all putting the word out - the more the merrier so if anyone else can help find Red that would be wonderful as it will soon be 1 week since he went missing. Aaron is still convinced that he was taken so speed is of an essence.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo cropped and re-loaded to make a better poster. Area info has been updated on the details as requested. LYDNSYD thank you so much for your help. I think unfortunately we are thin on the ground for helpers in that area. I have emailed you and will try and get flyers done as soon as poss. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to Red's owner to get more details and he thinks that Red may have been stolen. His family were camping at Burghfield Mill which is close to Theale/Calcot and Red went missing between 5pm-8pm on saturday 25th.  A group of teenagers were in the area just before Red went missing so it is possible that they have taken him. Red's owners haven't got a computer so he is going to a friends today to print off some missing posters - and is also going to try to have something put into the local papers - I also suggested trying our local radio staion. He has been in contact with Mandy the Wokingham DW and also the Newbury DW and has sent them photos of Red. I will be postering the Pangbourne area and also Sulham woods where there are lots of dog walkers. Red's owner would be very grateful for any further assistance -- Is there anyone closer to Burghfield that can help him please???? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I think the address for Red may be wrong as the Theale that I know is near Reading. It is very close to the large Sainsbury's Savacentre and unfortunately the M4. Has the owner put up any missing posters? I live a few villages away in Pangbourne and would be happy to help postering if required. What are the circumstances to Red going missing - could he have been stolen? There have been travellers in the area. Where did he go missing from was it on a walk or from home. Hope Red is reunited very soon. Please let me know if I can help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
