- BLANKET AWARENESS - as well as posters and leaflets which can be small and easily missed maybe try some home made sign boards, worked for me good luck hi there i have recently lost my staffy thought you might like to try a few things that i found really worked I found that by getting some sheets of timber board and getting a paint brush with some white gloss out and make some high vis sign boards and put them in key locations really worked. Put them in the surrounding villages or street and along any main roads i had 12 sightings within a few hours of getting the sign boards out, the boards do work people going to work coming home at night !!! make sure you speak to all public meeting points to spread the word, post office, butcher, doctors surgery, petrol stations I put ..............lost dog - name of my village .........any news or info pls call ...................reward .............get as many boards out as you can asap and have one outside ya front garden dont give up spread the word Hope you find soon x KieronLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
- 2009-08-02 23:55 hello janey
- Hi, hang in there,,its not been long really,o all you can with the postering, I took mine with the 4 smaller ones on to the photocopiers and they done loads at 5p a sheet, do door to doors, and if possible leaflet the cars in the shopping center if one is close, this way if he was picked up you get a wider audience, rather than the area he went missing and you get lots done in a short space of time. TIP!! use the wide cellotape it deters people taking them down, remember the kennels and dog wardens, lso the cleansing dept every day just in case, they only log this as dog or cat etc. Your baby will be somewhere, just keep your hopes up, Alfie got home after 8 days and this was not expected to happen. Wishing you all the luck in the world, Annabel. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Email from owner: Dear Jan, Thank you for the posters, they really look much more effective than what we have pinned up so far and we will concentrate on getting them through letterboxes now and setting up a distribution network with my dogwalking friends. Thanks again, it helps to feel that we are still doing something as I'm trying desperately not to lose hope. Kind regards Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jan x If anyone is able to help with the postering please let us know and posters can be emailed to you. Thanks x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Buddy ran out of the park chasing a cyclist, someone tried to catch him but he bolted in another direction away from the park which is only minutes from his home. Owner and family have been searching for him and started postering, they feel he has been picked up as he would of found his way home. DW, Battersea, Vets and local resuces have been contacted. Owner is going to try and upload a photo and also send some by text to my phone. Further advice/info, SCENTING Instructions in case they are needed if they do get a sighting of him.
