Dognapped terrier found

August 29, 2009 A PET kidnapped from a back garden has been returned to her delighted owner - three weeks after she went missing.
Teacher Sharon Lewis had spent hundreds of pounds printing leaflets and flyers and phoning every vet’s practice in the region after her West Highland terrier Bonnie went missing from Sale Moor.
The M.E.N. also publicised her plight, but her beloved pet was finally found in Stretford because of an identifying microchip - and a tip-off to police, who thought at first it was another missing animal.
Sharon, who teaches at a private boarding school in Reading, said: "I had almost given up hope - it’s amazing. Three weeks to the day that Bonnie disappeared, I was weeping and wailing, telling my parents I was never going to see her again.
"Then within hours, I’d got her back."
The terrier was stolen after Sharon had left her in the back garden to dry off in the sun after giving her a bath.
She said: "I had been watching her through the window and went into another room.
"I was only away for minutes, but when I returned, Bonnie had gone."
"She was a bit bedraggled when I got her back, but she quickly recovered.
"I’m loath to let her out of my sight now."

Could you tell me what her coat condition was like please. Pm me if neccessary, so as to keep it off boards, if thief is reading. Have a niggle about a pup a client brought in, it showed no signs of affection towards her when she came to pick it up, and the clients wants went against what was best for the dog etc. This was on 8th August, an an "Urgent" appointment. Might be nothing, but better than doing nothing.

There have been no leads on Bonnie.  The newspapers have put articles in and owner has contacted all vets and pet shops in Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside.  I'll email further advice/info and various size posters, once posters are checked they can be emailed out to contacts.  Jan x

I have family still living in the South Manchester area, so have sent poster and details of this little dog to them. Fingers crossed she's home very soon.

I'm so sorry to read about Bonnie.  You need to get as many "mising" posters up as you can, so that whoever has taken her will get scared that people will recognise her from the posters.  I really hope your lovely girl is reunited with you very soon!  Best of luck getting her back.  xx
