Thanks to everybody and especially Helen for all your help and advice in finding Skye, having not lost a dog before the help was invaluable.  After a little research the lady who brought Skye back was a genuine dog lover, she had been walking Skye in a different area to our search and had not seen the posters, she  had been asking around if anyone had lost a border collie and it was the posters that brought her back to the house where she had disappeared from. Once again, many thanks for all your help and all the kind comments we have received it is very much appreciated. Karen.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just rung Karen and this girl has been found   FANTASTIC news!   I am soooo pleased !!!!!!   Owners and friends had been out postering today and had reports of sightings around the LS14 area  whilst they were out they received a call from a woman close by which was  Pendas Walk ( very close to where she went missing) who has had Skye since Thursday.   It may be that the posters made her too hot and decided to hand her over . I checked with the Leeds Dog Warden today and she had NOT been reported as found.   She also had a new collar and had been wormed ! Posters worked their magic !  We all need a little MAGIC in life sometimes . Welcome home Skye and stay safe from now on ! Helen xxxx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As of tonight no further info /sightings of Skye.    Dogs Trust have her registered as they are close to the area she went missing Hopefully owners will keep checking with the dog wardens /stray kennels and continue with postering.  Have suggested also checking around Pendas Fields/ Scholes area . Just need a sighting of this girl. Keep safe Skye x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to Karen this morning . Owner then rang me and we had long chat. They have been postering the area where Skye went missing.  Advised owner to keep on with postering getting as many up as possible and to check regularly with the stray kennels (in person) They had details of Springfield and Mount Pleasant kennels but also gave them contact info for Oakenshaw and  Fleet Kennels too -- and informed regarding the 7 day rule with the stray kennels.   Am emailing a list of contacts and rescues in the area along with suggestions of further places to poster. Hope Skye is back home soonLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
