I'm sorry that Pippa is still missing. I'll put her name forward for a free advert in The Countryman's Weekly magazine. It will take a few weeks but a message will go on her page on the day she goes in.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

22.50 p.m.  Owner rang me back straight away, their Internet is down at the moment, I've passed the info onto them, they do know the area, it is not far from where they live.  They would like to pass their thanks on and are so grateful for this info.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

22.35 p.m. Thanks Knoxy for posting this info and the email alert I've left a message for Pippa's owner.  Pass our thanks onto your keen eyed friend.  Would be great if this is Pippa.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A friend of mine spotted a dog matching Pippa's description late last night. She described the dog as a brindle staffie bitch with high pointed ears. She was wearing a new red collar and was being walked by a girl aged in her early to mid 20's on an old black leather lead. The girl was in the company of an older quite small man in his late 50's. The man called the girl "Anna". They were walking up Flapper Fold Lane from Atherton town centre towards the new Police Station. My friend did not know about Pippa until this morning. Knoxy

There have been no more reported sightings on Pippa.  Pippas Mum has been postering and visited dogs homes again.  Someone may have picked Pippa up and not reported her to the right authorities.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I called at Leigh Cats and Dogs today. There was a poster for Pippa up on the board. I looked in all the kennels (just in case, you never know) but sadly, no doglost dogs there.

Welcome on board DL Pippas mum, thanks for registering and updating us.  Reward has been added to her details now as requested.  When were the sightings?  Please ensure you visit kennels in person and do not rely on phone calls alone.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It would be nice to know how Pippa  has been lost so that we can advise properly. Posters need to be put up all around the area as quickly as possible, and any dog walking areas that Pippa knows and may make her way to. Be sure to hand them out to dog walkers and pedestrians. Do be sure to poster all local pubs and pub car parks, vets, RSPCA, PDSA, and notify your Dog Warden, local pounds, and the police. Its important to get posters to all of them for identification purposes. Dogs in rescue pounds can be re-homed after only seven days if not claimed. Owner  if lost from home, - please also leave the way open at home, so that she can find her way back in if you are out searching. Leave an item of your clothing and her bed with some food and water outside. Good Luck. Hopefully Pippa will be found soon. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo cropped and brought closer. Posters can be printed straight away by clicking on DOG POSTER 1 above dog detail boxes, left hand side towards the top. You need to be logged in to do this. The same with messages. You need to be registered and logged in, then click on the small blue cross above the comments, write your message and press 'Update'. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so sorry to read that Pippa is missing.  Put as many "missing" posters up as  you can, and contact the dog warden, local vets, and rescue centres.  I really hope she's back with you very soon!  xx
