- I would (If you can) have the cat scanned for a microchip. Vets usually scan fir free now. It could be that the cat has been abandoned, or has been chased out of it`s own territory, and is afraid to return. The vet will also tell you if the cat has been neutered. You could also contact Cat Protection; they will usually put them on their waiting list, until they have a space. I wouldn`t contact the RSPCA, as they may put the cat to sleep, due to the numbers they have. The problem is some people don`t have their cats neutered, which I think is common sense, and healthier for the cat. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. All xd.

The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
