Good news! Poppy has been found. She was sighted at around 0950 and it took us another 5 and a half hours to finally catch up with her. She was limping but looking surprisingly well after her 8 day ordeal and is now in the safe hands of the vet. Thank you to all those who became involved; other dog walkers, walkers, joggers, neighbours etc. We wish her a full and speedy recovery and hopefully this tale will give others who have lost dogs some hope that, whilst pets, they obviously have a strong instinct for survival.

As far as I know no one has contacted the dog club.  If someone could I would be most grateful.  Unfortunately there does not seem to be any pictures.

Petersfield is a lovely doggy place where there should be tons of support to help find poor, frightened Poppy.   I live not too far away and will alter my walk pattern in the hope of spotting her.   Has anyone informed the local dog club?

Is there any sign of photos for posters being available.  Petersfied is a thriving small town with many shops and dog walking areas where posters could be put up.

Poppy bolted on Saturday 8th August from Bell Lane, Petersfield and was spotted later just off the lane opposite the Cricketers Pub.  Poppys owners, sister is trying to get people looking for her and spent Sunday looking all day herself, but works full time and lives 80 miles away.  So please keep your eyes peeled for this young and frightened little dog.

Little Poppy is still missing. Carers and others still searching for her. She is a very timid dog carers don't think anyone would be able to pick her up.

Owners are on holiday and Poppy was only with carers for 1 hour before she bolted...does not know the area at all.
