I have uploaded 2 of the photos sent by owner Jon. i thought the one of her licking her mouth after a feast of chicken was one to share plus happy owner jon and kiska back togther at last!! Sorry for the delay but got the pics when i was a bit groggy with a flu bug and forgot to update them.   CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just seen this on the facebook page...SO HAPPY for Jon What a lovely early christmas presenti have been looking every day for Kiska when i drive through Chislehurst...actually thought i saw her last friday whilst i was sitting in traffic with a young girl, but could not see close enough and all the school kids were out of school at that timemy god makes me think it was her now..
the microchip comes up trumps again,...
If only dogs could speak eh..
So glad she is healthy and back in the arms of her owner where she belongs.
Cannot wait to see the reunited pics...

What a day to leave my mobile off and my computer to go haywire!!  Still finally got text from Jon this morning and spoken to him when he got back from his muddy walk!! ( not that he cares) KISKA was picked up outside a school very close to where ashe was stolen. The dog warden could not give too much information as there was people involved but hope i might be able to find out a little more. Jon is over the moon and as i said to him all along- NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!!  I know being without a dog was hard so he had arranged to pick up a new puppy this friday. This has now been put on hold to give Kiska time to settle back home without the added stress of a new pup as well. Jon has bought a big chicken to share tonight with Kiska as a special coming home meal. reunited photos will be sent soon. In meatime one very very happy owner and contented dog! Kiska in good health if a little thin and she was in a very dirty state but other than that no problems. WELCOME HOME KISKA--  As i said to Jon not only made my day it made my year. oh ok, what a horrible situation that must of been for you, i just cant get my head round why these scum can actually do things like this.
Also who ever they sold her on to ( if they did, they could be bluffing ) why on earth havent they taken her to the vets to be registered, then the dog can be scanned...its the first thing i would do if i got a new dog.its such a sad situation...well i will keep looking for her. Hopefully she will turn up, these miracles do happen...it happened with my dog.

I had a phonecall weeks ago with a sighting around beechwood rise. Doglost helper Kim lives around there and was there looking within 10 minutes but saw nothing. I thought she might have escaped capture (shes a proper little houdini!) and be living in the woods. This was before i received the photos from the thief by text. The last text the thief sent told me that he had sold Kiska which was on 12/9/09 so she could be anywhere!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

also..i noticed on the F/B page you said about a certain road in Chislehurst to keep an eye out foris there a reason for that ??  I can easily go over that way and look around as its about 5 mins from my work...

Have you put an ad up on Gumtree in the lost & Found section ?
I couldnt see one, but it may be off the list now...worth doing that

Have you contacted Foal Farm in Biggin Hill to see if she has been handed in there in the last few months ?

I personally put up posters around chislehurst, mottingham, orpington, sidcup, eltham, swanley, gravesend etc... The ones around the station are always taken down by rail employees. Im having some new laminated posters made. Im housebound for another 4 weeks recuperating after a minor op but intend to hit dartford and surrounding areas when i can drive again. Please ask CJ for posters if you have time to put any up.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The data protection act just seems to help criminal activity in the same way as its possible to have an unregistered pay as you go mobile. The MET really dont seem interested over dog theft. According to recent statistics Chislehurst has the highest number of theft from cars in the UK, surely the MET would like to address this! Please join Kiskas facebook page "dog stolen in chislehurst" and please invite all your friends, thanks, Jon    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This makes me furious. Data protection, what about dog protection! Anyway, I understood the police did not have to abide by the act when investigating a crime.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another helper managed to find out that the phone number was an unregistered sim with no address or name. Orange and the police were reluctant to help over tracing the phones owner because of the data protection act. Silly question..have the police been told to ask Orange who's number it was registered to ??
Thing is, the phone is probally stolen anyways..i mean if they can steal a dog..but surely the police can look into this alot more, are they doing so ????

The picture on site has been updated as the one we had was of a much younger Kiska. The secong image is the one sent from a mobile phone to prove that she was being held. Owner is due to go into hospital for a minor operation and will be unable to drive or get around. It is thought Kiska may still be around the chislehurst area. I am hoping for much needed publicity on this story- so if anyone has ANY contacts that could help please let me know via admin with RE KISKA in the title. As new pictures are on site maybe aeveryone would email out to anyone in this area vets- friends- relatives to help spread the word- lets try and find the missing link needed to get KISKA back home- its been far to long now!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

UPDATE is that KISKA has been taken and money demanded for her return. However the contact has ceased and Jon has recieved text saying they have sold her on. We know they either had her or know where she is as pictures were sent. She may still be in chislehurst area so need to poster like mad.  Any one with media contacts we need this to be brought to attention. owner has had some success with a few papaers and is now looking at TV coverage but cant seem to find a number to pseak to anyone.  KISKa is on twitter so pass on to any twitters as well. We need to know where she is . PLEASE HELP or pass on to ANYONE you think could help.  Thanks  CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks both for your comments and ideas. Owner Jon does not live at all in the area she was taken from- he was staying with a friend and it was his car she was taken from- Jon is now back home in Surrey due to work commitments Jon has plastered the area all around this car park with posters and also put posters at certain places where she maybe taken . Jo has to travel back to this area in order to do anything regards leaflets etc so any help from local people would be great.   Jon is not very computer literate so he tends to email me and send text or phone.  After our last converstaion i commneted on Kiska looking a bit JRT it seems she is a Fox terrier X with a parson JRT so worth bearing this in mind when x checking for similar dogs.   if anyone would like Jons email to offer personal local help please contact me and i will send on to you  janefrankland2020@yahoo.com thanks CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If she isn't back yet it could be worth contacting Fox Terrier Rescue as she is so foxy like.  They get a number of rescue foxies in, and some crosses so it's just possible she could end up with them at some point.  Otherwise they might add her to their site anyway.  Foxy dog people are likely to recognise her for what she is if any come across her. Also maybe more general fox terrier societies/clubs.  There is also a Jack Russell Rescue, but she looks much more foxy than JRT. All the best.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live in Chislehurst and have seen quite a few of your posters around.  I do lots of walking around the area and obviously we continue looking for your little dog.  Just a thought - are you going back to the car park at the same  time this saturday, perhaps you should give out some leaflets there, just in case a regular shopper may have seen something. Also, can I just mention that whilst the police do their best you do really still need to pester them each day just in case they've overlooked her. It happened with me and I spent days of agony cos they didn't match a lost to a found.  If I can help in any way, poster putting up, anything really, do let me know, I am local. Where does she normally get walked ?  Kind regards. Don't despair. Let me know wot I can do to help. KimLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thats good if you can get coverage as you need as much publicity as possible. ANY HELPERS IN THIS AREA please post if you can help to put up posters or can email them out to various places and help the ownerLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for your suggestions and help. Flyered the area, posters up, cctv didnt cover the area the car was parked in, police and local dog wardens notified, facebook group started, all local vets and pet shops have posters. Hopefully the local paper is going to run a story also. Just trying to get as much coverage as possible!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Has the owner looked at dog number 19451 under dogs found. I know the dates don't match and it's the wrong area but one never knows...It's a long shot.
