With an extremely heavy heart I have had to move Chester to Rainbow Bridge.  He was found trying to make his way back to where he was lost from. Heart goes out to everyone involved. Run free at the Bridge Chester.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

the dog warden for Hertfordshire needs to be informed as Lilley is actually classed as Herts and not Beds, I believe it comes under HitchinLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As Spindle said, like 'our' Rowan, Shelties are very good at hiding and  Chester will be lying low in daylight.  Too far away to give practical help but thinking of Chester and everything crossed for a safe and quick reunion with his family.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo now on poster IS Chester.  Everything possible is being done to find Chester.  He is is local paper so will bump up now.  Given advice re scenting and going back to where he went from.  I think, very like our Rowan he will be hiding low during the day.  Posters up, vets, rescues, dog wardens all aware.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Been away so didn't see this one. Looks more like my Rory, darker with possible black bits. The carer must keep going back to the area he was lost in because the chances are he'll return. Shelties have wonderful noses and a lot of common sense when it comes to tracking. They only go silly when approached by strangers.
Too far away to help but praying for an early reunion.

I live about 40 mins away from Luton and would come to help search if needed. Can we have an exact location about where he was last seen? Has he been put in the local paper? He looks like a shaded sable.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

if chesters tag is to his owner who is not contactable then it is going to be rather difficult for a finder to alert someone. have all the pounds be phoned? I am fairly local if there is more info...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi "Spindle" - like I posted earlier, I posted the details on both of the sheltie forums and also the collie forum - so at least all the sheltie folk( show , breeders and pet ) know about Chester. His details were also passed on by our breed rescue rep. When you say his owners are away and uncontactable, I presume they don't know that he is missing ? Wouldn't whoever was looking after him know what colour he is ? If he is black with a little tan and white, then he is a TRI colour - if he is any shade of brown then he is a SABLE. I could get you a photo of a sheltie if you need one, but we do really need to know his colour. I'll try to log on here fairly often and if you need anything, just post me a message. I'm a long way away to help in the search, but I can keep others up to date. Thanks.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
