Barney 'n' Ozzie's mum
Wow, what a day for cockers being reunited! Especially sweet for me as it's my Barney's birthday today (he's a cocker!) Welcome home girls xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Dottie and Rolo are home after 12 days away. They have been hunting by the looks of them - thin and scraped, Picked up on the road by someone who called the owners, as the dog's collars and tags are still on. Owner says that she has no idea how the collars were still on, because they have lost so much weight. Welcome home girls. No more adventures now. Stay safe. x They are going to get chipped very soon now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

One thing I would suggest to the owners is to flood the area with posters (telegraph poles, car parks, vets in the area etc etc).  While driving around I haven't seen any posters up.  Unfortunately I don't have a printer so can't put any up myself.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OK will give the owners a call in the morning to offer help.  Unfortunately as we are so rural here we don't have mobile reception, but I will probably pick up your message when I am out and about tomorrow.  Thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have left a message on your mobile Moobli. Perhaps you could give the owners a call to help them search. I know they have been out searching regularly but there have been no sightings. The area is so huge and spreads into each other that it is going to be a big job. any help would be of great use.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just a thought.  It may be worth letting the staff at Duns Castle estate know as well, as that is in the area and they have a stalker.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live in the Lammermuir Hills and about 5 miles as the crow flies from Longformacus.  I can help search the area.  Are the dogs working gundogs or pets?  Have the gamekeepers on all the estates up here been informed?  Do the dogs live at Longformacus?  Thanks.  KirstyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to Dottie's  owners and there have been no sightings of her or Rolo. There is a huge area for them to go hunting so unless someone spots them or they come home themselves it is going to be near impossible to find them. Gamekeepers have been made aware.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

These dogs are somewhere on the Lammermuir Hills. Are there any helpers out there who could help with searching?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
