I'm so pleased to hear that Diesel is starting to recover from his scary ordeal and that the local paper has covered his story. I can only hope that the vile person responsible will get their come-uppance in the very near future! Sending healing thoughts, love and licks from me and Milly!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Diesel's story is in the local press today - hopefully it may bring some more information . Diesel continues to improve and has started some very gentle exercise http://www.lutontoday.co.uk/lut-news/Rottweiler39s-rescuers-sought.5690048.jpLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

julie shelton:
I have just spoken to Diesel's mum. He is quite a bit better today and, although not himself, they can see that he is on the right road. He is now eating and showing more interest and was up to a quick bath. They are very grateful for all the good wishes and will keep in touch to let us know how Diesel is doing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so sorry that this reunited story has been marred by finding this lovely boy injured. I do hope that he shows his stoic Rottie spirit and that, with the expertise of the vet and love of his family, he makes a full recovery. Fingers crossed for you sweetheart from me and Milly, the Rottie xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am very pleased to report that Diesel will be on his way home later, but this is a bittersweet reunion - Diesel was found badly injured early hours this morning, - his owners have been notified and are on their way to collect him and take him straight to the vets for treatment. Please send healing wishes for this beautiful big boy. Sandie xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

have the owners tried arasrescue.org.uk in bedford, there are a couple of rotties there though possibly they have been there over a week as they are being offered for rehoming and i believe Coral the local dog warden runs the group so it would be handy for her to keep a look out for him if none of the dogs she has are Diesel.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I wanted to let Bailey P know that I have called the vet he mentioned and the dog he saw has been registered with them since December - so sadly not our Diesel. But thanks to him and all the other people that are helping.

The 'Diesel' I saw today had a docked tail.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is Diesel docked or does he have a full tail? Rotties become very attached to their owners and love their home comforts and so I hope and pray that it won't be long until this lovely lad is back home with his family. Is he friendly towards people and other dogs?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

While I was at my vets this morning there was a large male rottie in (I think for an op - neutering?) he was being weighed by a vet nurse (41kg) and I heard her call him Diesel. Probably perfectly legit but might be worth a call to the vet - 01763 273707 (Buntingford, Herts) 40 mins from Luton.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
