- Heartbreaking post on Diggers group
Family still searching 💔
Praying he’s found soon 😓🐾
“ As most are already made aware digger is still missing.
79 days ago since the gate was left opened carelessly by maintenance workers.
I relive this nightmare in my head every single day.
Did he ever make it out of Alloa that night? Did he ever cross the river Devon? Did someone see his old greying face and decide to let him in? Is he safe and warm? Is he still waiting to be found? Did he try to get home? Does he miss us as much as we miss him?
If only the gate had been checked before letting him out, if only the maintenance workers took that extra Caution, if only we reacted quicker, if only we had had the right knowledge back then that we do now, if only he knew how desperate we are to find him.
So many questions and so many “if only’s”.
If i knew that morning would have been the last time I ever saw him again I would’ve held him so much tighter.
Our hearts are broken, I cry every single day for him and the unanswered questions are slowly eating me up.
My silent life sentence.
I hope you know I’ll look for you forever🐾
Please help us find our digger🤍

- Update from Digger's FB group:
"I would like to thank everyone who showed up to help with diggers search yesterday, im so thankful to each and every one of yous. Just shows how much everyone pulls together when something so tragic happens.
The kindness everyone has showed me and my family over the past couple months have been unbelievably generous. Unfortunately there was nothing to report back from his search, however, this does not mean I will stop looking for my boy. You have to be somewhere, and I will not rest until I have found you. Until we meet again my gorgeous boy🖤". - 2025-01-22 15:14 GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

🐾🐾Writing this post just on the off chance maybe the right person comes across it…I’m not saying for one minute I think this is the case, but if anyone does have digger and found themselves in a position where they are now too scared to come forward, please don’t think for one minute we are angry, we’re not, we are just so upset and concerned. If you do not want to be seen dropping him off at a local police station or a vets, it’s completely understandable; All we ask is that if you could get digger as close to home ground as possible, MAIN STREET/HIGH STREET, CLACKMANNAN AREA, then set him free, he will find his own way home. I cannot stress enough you are not in any kind of trouble and there will be no further enquiries for his SAFE return. Digger initially escaped from his own home due to a gate being left opened, he was not stolen, so if you have taken him in for his own welfare and safety then seriously thank you but it’s now time for him to be back home with his family who care so very much for him❤️🩹
If you know of anyone who isn’t on social media who could have digger please let them know, he’s so deeply missed. 🐾🐾

- Update from Sophie 2/12:
"***DIGGER UPDATE***
First of all I want to thank absolutely everyone for your ongoing support in the search for Digger. The help from the local community and further afield has been incredible ❤️
The past couple of days we have had confirmed sightings of Digger within the same area of Clackmannan. This is really positive news!
Even though he has been seen in the same area, he is still too nervous to come to anyone so the next stages of Diggers search and his capture need to be handled extremely carefully.
We would ask no one actively goes out and searches for Digger. If too many people flood the area he has been sighted we run the risk of Digger getting scared and moving on and we will be back to square one.
If people wish to help, quietly sitting in your car and watching areas will be most beneficial. If you do so please let us know what areas you have covered.
If you see Digger, please DO NOT shout, chase or attempt to catch him.
Leave him be and note the time he was sighted, the exact location and if he ran off the direction he headed.
Please leave no food out for Digger as this again could cause issues for the next stages of the plan for his capture. If you see items of clothing left out please also do not touch as you will contaminate any scent work which has been done.
Thank you again so much everyone for all you are doing to help me and my boy ❤️". - 2024-12-01 12:17 VetsGetScanning

Diggers still not home, getting worried as this is so out of character to be away this long, it’s only going to get colder and darker😫 please keep an eye out! Been out all day and still no sign of him, clutching at straws but even checking in your sheds and gardens would be so appreciated he has to be somewhere! Again, he’ll be so scared so if he doesn’t come when being called please contact myself or the police as they are aware of the situation! Alloa/Clackmannan area PLEASE DO NOT CHASE HIM (28/11/24 @ 14.42)Last edited: 2024-11-30 11:15:36 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland - 2024-11-30 09:27 Louise
