Like everyone else on here, I'm ABSOLUTELY thrilled that Amber is finally home. What a lovely, lovely warm feeling. She is quite beautiful and the account of the moment when she recognised her Mum and Dad brought tears to my eyes. Well done to everyone who were instrumental in getting this girl back home. I bet she's all warm and cosy in her bed with her little companion squeezed in beside her. Welcome home girlie!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

My normal routine is e-mails then amber. So having written Stephs 'phone numbers down in response to email I then turned to Amber.  Now I have stopped crying with joy  I want to say how fantastic this news is.  Amber was so clever going over to sita site because it was really quite and gave her mum and dad a chance without interruptions. If only I had looked last night I would not have been loking at the clock throughout the night hoping Amber was warm enough.I know how the expression came about 'like a dog with two tails' thats just how I feel. Love to everybody involved mostly though to Amber.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well Amber is on her way home tucked up on the back seat of the car with her mummy. There was not a dry eye to be seen when we got her. She squeaked and squeaked and wagged her tail it was absolutely wonderful to see.
When I met up with her mum and dad. I had already walked around the old tip, now a construction site and well fenced off. But that was where she slept last night and was seen at 7am Monday morning.  I could not see anyway in other than one gate that had a gap to one side.
When Bev & Perry arrived, we looked around and shone our torches only to be confronted by a security man, who confirmed the sighting. Said he could not let us in but would cast an eye. We poodled around the other side of the site and suddenly heard him shout (very loudly) "shes here". That spooked Amber and she ran, but we did see where she got out from, which was the gate with the gap. She ran off up the road toward the cafe. Bev & I walked up and perry drove. We walked all around the cafe area and canal but nothing. We decided to return to the site and wait for her to return. I parked up at one end and her mum & dad at the other. I could not see very well from where I was so I drove back and said I will go back to the cafe area and stay there. Off I went, but when I got to the crossroad I turned RIGHT instead of left. (that is why this is purple, a little voice spoke to me) When I got to the end of the road, there she was, just going into some shrubs. I phoned bev and said get up here now. Before they arrived, she darted out and carried on up the road heading back to the site. We followed and stopped short because she was at the gate, sniffing (Bev had just scented) and then she eat the sausage I had left there and went in.
We tried to find the security guy but no luck. Meanwhile Perry squeezed himself through this gap (god only knows how) and he went toward the big warehouse type building as we could see her in there. He gave instructions to me, "put that barrier across". I picked up a free standing barrier and squeezed it between the gate and his car, terrified I would scratch it.  He went in and called Amber but she bolted. She could not get out, so the barrier had worked. Bev was kneeling cooing her name, she looked came close and then ran. She came back again and Bev called her name again and she really looked, then all of a sudden, you could see the recognition...she went toward her mummy squeeled wagged her tail and tried to get through to her. Bev was kneeling down, caught her collar, put the slip lead on. Meanwhile, I am shifting the barrier away, again trying not to scratch the car. As soon as it slid away she was squeezing herself through, Her dad came up behind her... Well she did not know who to go to first. Squeeling, tail wagging back and forth from mum to dad. Tears flowing and broad smiles all round. It was wonderful. Once she was properly out, all she wanted to do was jump into the car. Once the back seats were down and she could...well ...never did you see a dog jump in soooo quickly.
She has lost a lot of weight but despite that she looked good. I think even she was smiling.
Welcome home Amber you little sweety...judy

Had a long chat with Aunt Steph today and also meeting up with Ambers mum this evening. The old recycling centre may well be ambers' den. Especially if she is shielded by the elements. Too early for trap as we need to establish that she is here and get her feeding twice daily before we consider setting it up. This dog spooks very easily. We have to tread very carefully so as not to scare her away. We need to get some high energy food down as she is looking very thin, so the girl from the cafe stated...Hang on in there Amber, we will get you.

Bumped due to SIGHTING this morning. We need to gear things around setting a trap for Amber . If food can be left near the cafe or perhaps near the area she was spotted this morning we can then put a trap out but this needs to be manned so if anyone can help here to perhaps do a shift of "Trap watching" please contact Amber's owner & then we can all liaise . Thanks.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi. I have been driving around the swallowfield/Rigby Lane over the past few days with no luck.  The sita site is the old recycling centre, it is closed just now 'cos it is being rebuilt and resembles great big sheds/building site. It is at the very end of swallowfield road.  I will keep looking in hopes. I live very local so go out at odd times. I always have a look by the cafe and over the little canal bridge. Ambers mum - never give up- a few doggies have been rehomed just recently having been out for months.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thankyou to Teddy's mum and Aunt Stef.I must admit i didnt end up going over to Hayes because of the weather and kind of guessed Amber wouldnt show. Also because of the weather it was dark early on.However,i had a phone call from a guy who saw Amber this morning,-well she frightened the living daylights out of him!He went into the unit where he works and there she was.Amber ran off but he didnt see in which direction. The unit is a recycling place called 'Sita',not far from the cafe. The sighting was 7.30am.He mentioned the rain and thats why-probably- she was there.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As there was, what I thought,a gap the rain I made a trip up to Hayes late last night to have a look round all Amber's haunts.I didn't see her but then it had started to rain again & so didn't expect to. I checked all around Pasedena, Silverdale as well as over the road in the Argent Industrial Estate. I then went over to Swallowfield Way & around the cafe  & post box.The post box is actually on the Swalowfield rd just before you turn right into Rigby Lane & the Swallow cafe. I really wanted to have a look around for where a trap could be set & where all the various runs that Amber could be using are. If Amber keeps coming to this cafe area it does lend itself to placing a trap that could be monitored from a carLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for doing that,Teddy's mum.Today's weather has been dreadful.Hopefully Amber has a bolt hole where she can keep warm & dry. I know that when we had the last lot of incessant rain I didn't see her at all.As soon as the rain cleared the sightings came in again. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I got to the cafe at 5.45am sat and watched for quite sometime then got out and walked around. Saw the post box and found the steps bev. Kept moving around but had to get back into the car as the weather was just awful. I stayed there until 08.30 put some sausages down by bollards (entrance to canal) and drove over to Pump lane industrial estate in case she had changed tact. No sightings I am afraid, put more sausages down near her haunts. As the rain was quite torrential at times, I expect she was holed up to keep herself dry and warm. Buzz or text me anytime if you get another sighting...

Well I got to the cafe just before 7am and waited and watched. But Amber did not show herself. I did have a walk along the canal towpath for a short way.  This must be her route through to the industrial estate in and around pump lane. I really do think the owners should bring their boat back and moor up. I am sure that will bring some success. Good idea ellejay, unfortunately, if you saw the terrain and built up area you would see the problems. Pity though as sounded very good. I will be back on Saturday morning at dawn again, to the same place, have breakfast, (they do a nice one) and I think I will walk the towpath until I get to pump lane area. It is not that far as the crow flies.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have been following this story for ages, and i dont know if this is any help for you if it could work or not...Have you tried contacting the local Brownie/ guides. scouts packs round this area ?
Just a few years ago, a border collie went missing round our way and was hiding out in some woods, been sighted many a time but just couldnt get him. he was on his own for just under 2 months, so was getting very feral by then, but the owner called upon the local scout group and they all did a ’ sit in ’ by the area for the whole weekend.the scouts loved it, they camped up with their hot drinks and made a camp fire with permission,  and just waited for the dog to appear...( whilst playing scout games and stuff )
He did after 7 hours of the scouts and leaders being out, the smell of the food must of attracted him, or the noise of the kidsthey got him in the end, cos there was so many of them.
wont go to into it, but just a thought for your dog...depends what she is like around to many humans thoughbut is it worth a try ?? if it worked for the collie ..

Brilliant. We need to start with a regular feed at a quiet spot near here to get Amber coming to this area as a routine. First thing in the morning would be best ,ideally again at dusk but morning especially for now & then we can perhaps start thinking about getting her used to a trap being there etc.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is excellent news. I will put together all of the sightings you emailed to me Steph and see if I can work out timings for her travels. Cannot get over today but can look around tomorrow. I will let people I know in area so they too can look around also. The cooking smells from the cafe are attracting her, no doubt and that is very good.

Sorry should have given a more precise location. The Swallowfield Cafe is at the far end of Rigby Lane. Going down Swallowfield Way from Dawley Rd  turn 1st right into Rigby Lane & it's at the end, right near the entrance to the canal tow path..  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Another sighting of Amber. Someone saw her yesterday morning 8am(Mon.23rd) by the Swallowfield cafe. I had put a poster up here right by the cafe outdoor chairs & table ,on the post that leads down to the tow path so Amber is almost definately using the canal tow path to get from one area to another.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been to the Dawley Rd area this afternoon & put up some posters. Going back to the log on 2/10/09 Amber was spotted in this area then i.e. Botwell Common and Dawley Road. Maybe she trots along the canal from time to time.  This is a very quiet area so she may not be sighted. I did leave her details including poster at the Wool Pack pub back in Oct. because of the access to the canal at the side of the pub I did think she was using the tow path then so maybe she still is as well as her base on Pasadena Trading Estate. Lets hope so.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No sightings of Amber over the weekend but a possible sighting this morning , 8.30 am (16/11) on Dawley Rd near Blyth Rd & Swallowfield Way. This is a bit further west & away from the Pump Lane circuit but near enough for her to travel that way & back to Pump Lane. Will have a look round tonight.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi just to let you know my work mate spotted Amber this morning on pump lane, she got out and was calling but she bolted. She then drove her car round to where Amber had run (Silverdale Gardens) and found her again, she was calling her name and Amber seemed to take notice and stood there for a good minute before bolting again. Hopefully this is a good sign that she is remembering her name and taking notice when she is being called.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Met up with Ambers mum & partner this evening. They had seen Amber just before I arrived coming out of a house in Silverdale gdns. It is a place she has been sighted a number of times. Bev lay down and whimpered which stopped Amber and she stood there looking. Unfortunately someone went toward her and she got spooked and ran.  When I saw the house I decided to knock and chat. The occupants upstairs were helpful and had seen Amber there a number of times. We searched the back garden which was littered and overgrown. There is obviously a way through for her but we did not see it. It is, however, close, as the crow flies from her feeding station.  Bev walked me around and pointed out sighting areas. It looks like the proverbrial triangle...
Amber REAPPEARED.. in the road obviously heading back to the house. Unfortunately, two dogs barked and spooked her and off she went again. She moved very swiftly which shows she is fairly fit having been out for so long and that is excellent.
I have suggested to Bev to use only one feeding station and to scent that area only. We need to keep her close by and also observe the house entrance.
I am sure if Bev sees her undisturbed and lays down and whimpers, she will get her. She had baked her a liver cake. No dog can resist that... I will be back there on Friday
afternoon/evening.  judy...

Thanks Yasa & Jan,yes I'm very encouraged by what I saw last night.Amber is a clever girl with a great sense of smell, she always seems to be drawn to where her mum has been so the fact that Amber's mum & her gorgeous dog were sitting in this spot on a pallet which we will now use to cover & disguise a trap, will help to draw Amber to the potential "trap area". Just back from meeting Beverley & checking out the area. Parked in the Matalan car park at about 7.00pm had just phoned Beverley to say I was there ,crossed the road & there was Amber !! I Stopped walking towards her & just quietly turned around but was able to watch her go down Pump Lane away from Hayes town & then I think she cut into Springdale Gdns.I met up with Beverley & as we got to the feeding station up popped Amber again but fled as soon as she saw us. Beverley had her other dog with her who was a star at scenting everywhere. We spoke to a lot of the people that work in the industrial area at night & so many know about Amber & have seen her. I'm really pleased as it does seem she's staying in one area moving in a regular circuit. We have a place that looks good for setting a trap so hopefully this can be done soon. Thanks for your help & support here Spindle. I will let Teddy's Mum know how this evening went. Will bump Amber due to this sighting. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Tobyjugs mum,I am going to meet Amber's owner this evening where Amber has been seen so that we can put down food, scent & check the area out for where to perhaps place a trap. Will also be putting up some more posters. Hoping that with the fireworks & colder weather,Amber has been staying in her den more & this is why she hasn't been spotted in the last few days.Where were the old shelters ?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so worried- after so much positive news on Amber-what has happened? I am still driving the area looking, has she moved on? I wonder if the cleanup of the old shelters has been a problem.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bumped Amber up due to another positive sighting this time by Amber's mum last night. Amber is behaving as most dogs on the run do,very nervous & skittish. This can be a little distressing for owners as their dog does not come to their call but it often is the way. With careful handling Amber will I'm sure, be home sooner rather than later.Teddy's mum , I have left a message on your phone.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh god this is excellent news Ambers mum. Have just read all of these latest sightings. May I suggest that 1..you take your other dog with you and walk him around the areas Amber trots along. Make sure he has lots of water so he cocks his leg frequently. and 2.. wherever the food for Amber is being put, I would suggest that you scent in that area also. She may be part ferel but her nose is her best friend and she will not forget smells. It will keep her there and she will associate you (your smell) with  food.  Dont forget what I told youif you see her, LAY DOWN and WHIMPER, it really does bring dogs close to you.
Aunt Steph, if you check with head office I think Jayne is usually able to locate large traps that can be loaned out.
I think I might make Friday evening but definatey Saturday.
Good luck, so very close now and so many helpers.Wonderful.

Your Welcome Aunt Stef - Amber's got a long distance relationship (20-40 feet that is ) going on with a few of us who work on the industrial estates now. I feel like a stalker, unfortunately, I can't get her to come any closer yet, but I have a big box of tricks up my sleeve. Joking aside, she spooks pretty easy which is understandable, and she always seems to be on the move. I'm in contact with her Owner and appreciate the problems involved, knowing she was ran off while she was visiting this area. So the least I can do is supply as much detailled info as possible to those who may be more successful so they can focas in the right area and get the lost girl home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went up to Hayes this evening with pilchards, not tried that yet and thought i'll give it a go.I placed the food in the usual place where Troy's mum has been leaving food very near to the alley way. Then sat and waited,i was on Pasadena close and Troys mum was in a position where she could see Amber coming into the Provident Industrial Estate and also the food bowls.Troys mum saw Amber go past her, then went to the food.Troy's mum rang me,i have seen Amber but she ran away from me,i was so upset. After we lost her, couldnt see where she went, she's very fast.May need to set up a trap to catch her in.The dog warden has'nt got one big enough. Tues 3th about 5.05pm Amber was seen leaving SILVERDALE GARDENS, She crossed back over the road to SILVERDALE ROAD, she was later sighted at the 'Bakery' on that estate at approx 3am. Wed 4th 7.40pm she used the the PROVIDENT to cut back into PASADENA (first time we have seen her go in that way), I followed her to the IDEAL units, lost her twice but last saw her as she the larger alleyway to leave PASADENA Thurs 10.30am approx, ran in SILVERDALE GARDENS, out again 5-10mins later across into PETER JAMES out again, back over PUMP LANE (may have ran back again over again - not sure) I think last sighting was back towards PASADENA.     Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Watching this thread all the time.  Just another thought.  Is there any dog that she knows really well.  Often a friendly dog whose scent she will get from a distance may trigger her reponses away from survival and back to previous life.  If there is get the dog all around these areas maybe.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kels, we did not speak but I work in the provident estate (a.hartrodt) I was with AMBER's owner at lunchtime, after speaking to you B was approached by someone else on your estate. He and some colleagues tracked her to SILVERDALE GARDENS yesterday where she has also been seen daily by someone who lives there (close the the bollards) It's believed Amber might be cutting though a private house who's front/back gardens are not secure, if so that would put her on diagonal path as the crow-flies to somewhere near the shelters. Do the gardens of Silverdale Gardens back directly on to your unit ?. or is there something in between?  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kels, So glad you are so near both living and working. Ambers owner certainly needs help as she lives a train journey away of 1.5 hours. It must be dreadful to get sightings and not be able to get their quickly. The more people on the ground the better. A tip for you incase you do see Amber.  Lay down and whimper she may well approach out of curiosity. Have some treats in your hand and hopefully a slip lead on your arm...If you call or walk towards her she will bolt.
I cannot believe people are so evil as to steal two bowls!!!
It will be few days before I can get back to look. Hopefully she will have been caught by then...

Thank you to everyone helping and looking  out for Amber.I have listened to the messages left on my answer machine, thank you.I know of the sightings yesterday and this afternoon. However there may have been more at different times,as i got a call at 5.25pm yesterday (Sunday),when i got there she was gone.I am very grateful and appreciative of the calls when Amber has been seen.I must stress Amber is a nervous dog,if anyone was to try and chase her in the hope of catching her,she will run off scared.I am worried she will leave the area before i can get to her.I need another plan and am thinking of bringing the boat back to Bulls bridge. Then if and when i get a call i wont be too far away.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Like you, I also think she has made her den elsewhere, although she visits the shelters,  often I don?t think she?s making a bed there. I have also placed treats & water in the area she cuts though to Provident (also referred to as Pump Lane Ind Est.). Can you believe it the food and water bowls were stolen!. (and on a Sunday) I appreciate someone might remove the food thinking some ones feeding foxes and attracting rats but did they have to take a bowl of WATER!. Today, I left more water and a polite note. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is excellent news. I have been chatting to Ambers mum and it looks as though it should not be too long now before she is home. My sister has been around the area during the weekend and is going back this afternoon. She has put food down in the bus shelters as they are enclosed have dry leaves (for bedding) and will keep her dry. Although I suspect she has made herself a nice little den somewhere. I will get over there just as soon as possible. Meanwhile, it is good she has been seen and so many people know this who work in the area.

We have spotted AMBER numerous times, always at the same place and heading in the same direction, Unfortunately never at the same time of day!. For those keeping an eye out, there definitely seems to be a pattern to her movements. Amber has been seen hovering around the Pasadena Estate, and  she has been seen over the last 2 weeks using a little known foot path from Pasadena, which leads to the Provident Industrial Estates to gain access to Pump Lane. She does not linger in Provident, she?s a girl on a mission, i.e. she knows exactly where she?s going, and is in & out of Provident in less than a min. Once on Pump Lane we have seen her crossing over the road to enter Silverdale Road, according to other sightings she has been lingering around a ?bakery? close to the Post Office collection depot, and has also been seen close to the part of Silverdale Road which is blocked for vehicles (junction Little Road) Don?t know for sure, but I would not be surprised she is continuing down Silverdale road and using this route to gain access to the channel towpath (hayes town) rather than the more busy Pump lane. But then again she has had another time to find a doggy short cut thorough a hole in a fence somewhere.   Whatever route she using, she is obviously circling, and doubling back to remerge at the same general place.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Nice to chat you Ambers mum. Such good news that she is being seen so often and especially in daylight hours. I think the suggestion  of sleeping in the car one night is good. Put a scent trail down from the warehouse where the food is being put out and tail it along to your car.
I have mobilised quite a few local people now who are looking around the area. Interestingly, one of them told me about a nature reserve on the other side of the bypass which can be walked to via an underpass. She may well have made a den there. Worth a look.
A word of advice/warning - and dont be upset - but when dogs are out for a while they get very people shy and calling/chasing will only drive them away. Even if it is their owner...
The best way to home her in would be to lie down and whimper. Curiosity gets to them and they often approach. have a slip lead over your arm and treats in your hand. Let her take the treat whilst you slip on the lead. This works very well but you have to do it slowly and gain trust and speak soothingly. Good luck. I do so hope she is home soon...judy

Driven around the trading estate and Pasadena Close 8.ooam and 12.15pm I saw no sign but a lady on her break said  Amber was seen 29/10 two girls tried to get her but she ran away. Gave them 0207 number and doglost No. Suggested if they see her again just let her settle and keep an eye on her  call either number and we can try to get to her without stressing her she is obviously terrified. I had a few phone calls this morning of sightings of Amber. One of the units on the Industrial estate has her on camera going across their yard.I was asked to go and have a look to see if it is her and it is.That was a t 6.30 this morning then she was seen by a man called Steve with a burger van at 7.20am.Also by a man that works in one of the warehouses.I went over to the man called Pete at the unit where he has been putting down food.I gave him food from home.He will put it down when he leaves work everyday.I have also put water down and my old t-shirt from the laundry basket.I have a lot of people looking out for her.I am so grateful. As far as im aware Amber is the only large dog in that area of the Industrial estate.Over the last few days there has been fresh dog mess close by where she has been seen. Not sure if i can get over there tomorrow, but will be there the weekend.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So pleased she has been seen again. I have let people I know in the area where she has been sited and they are keeping a lookout.
Ambers mum I left a message on your answerphone yesterday. Give me a buzz.
May I suggest that you give food to this man in the warehouse to put down regularly for Amber. That will definately keep her in that area. I will try and get down there also.
Good she was seen by Neild Rd. and also that she is showing herself during daylight hours. I expect she is scavaging from the fast food outlets there.  She is probably staying around the industrial area as this man is putting food down for her.
Hope to meet up with you.

Hi Ambers mum, I was driving around the pedestrianized area of Hayes town @12.00pm ish 27/10 and caughtsight of the back of a dog which I was convinced was Amber. She came from hayes bridge direction and went down towards Nield Road by the old post office. By the time I drove round and got to Nield road she was nowhere to be seen. I asked several people who said if seen they would take her to the vet on Corner of Nield Rd. I was so excited it was the coat redish and quite short. If it is Amber she looked strong also good news. I will keep looking. Fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Posters are now up all along the towpath between the Grand Junction Arms pub & the bridge leading up to the dual carriageway(A312). A poster was already in the pub . I have spoken to a lot of people, British Waterways maintenance staff/  dogwalkers/office workers/canal boat folk one of which has put a poster in the window of his boat, thank you.The residents in the houses along the tow path near the pub are now aware also.Teddys Mum is going to get up that way tomorrow. The opposite bank of the canal, that is the Tesco Extra side, is a little restricted as you can't walk all the way along, some areas are private but there is access to parts of the tow path via Tesco's car park. Thanks for the call Steph. This is really good news. It shows she is staying around the area in which she was lost or certainly returning to it.  We need to poster like mad. I do not think there are enough posters out there and we need sightings in the "now" and not two days old. The owners need to get down there and scent and we can all leave some food around that area. And poster poster poster!!!!!!!

I spent a number of hours around and about Botwell Common area. Spoke to a number of dog walkers and handed out posters. One in particular, new about Amber. She heard of two people sighting her in Central Avenue by the swimming pool. once in the hedgerow of the pool grounds and also in a front garden under bushes nearby. This was on Friday. The lady has been putting food down by the pool shrubs and it is being eaten. Amber has also been sighted in Hayes town itself during the day in the pedestrian area, obviously lost, someone said. (oh god, why did they not do something)  The lady is going to continue to feed in this area and I suggested Pilchards.
I did not see any posters at all. I have given some to be put into the shops. Will print off more and get back there, hopefully tomorrow.
Hayes town has a dearth of fast food outlets. I would imagine that the smell of food is homing her in to scavange.
I have also learnt that Amber appeared recently in a local freebie newspaper that has quite a large distribution area.
Hope this info is useful to her owners, who perhaps may read this...

No sightings this pm unfortunately. A number of people I know live fairly close by and can be in the vicinity quickly. I will be there tomorrow and will concentrate on Botwell common and the towpath. It looks as though Amber is heading back to where the boat was moored.
I now understand that the owners live in London and not, as previously thought, on the barge.
If they are reading this, they need to get there at the weekend and scent in the area the boat was last moored and perhaps put some of Amber's bedding down. That will hopefully keep her there.

There has been another SIGHTING of Amber .This sighting was this morning (2/10/09) in the Botwell Common area. This common is in between Botwell Common Rd & Dawley Road. This is also right on the canal where Amber was originally lost. Amber is finding her way back to the spot where the canal boat was & could be running along the tow path.If anyone spots her please call the owner or Doglost. Teddy's mum is heading that way now & has alerted some other helpers, thank you. Thanks for the info Steph and email.   Do the owners not have internet access ?  It would be good if they could post as and when sightings occur so that someone could get there quickly.  Cranford park has a wooded area so she may well be holed up there. They need to leave their boat moored in the usual place if possible so that if Amber gets back there, and she may well do, they will be there to greet her.  Owners, if you read this, get into the area at dusk and dawn because that is when dogs come out more. I have a friend who has friends who own the Crane pub and they have posters, as of today, so more people aware of her. Hope she shows herself again soon.Blitz Cranford park with posters.  Good luck.

Dan and Koko
I walk my dogs in Cranford Park daily. I have not seen Amber, but do remain vigilant in the hope of sighting her. Good luck and fingers crossed. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There have been some SIGHTINGS of AMBER. email from owner : Wanted to let you know that there have been two sightings of Amber since she went missing. The first time was on Saturday 5Th September at around 1pm,going past a pub called the "The Jolly Gardener" towards Cranford community college which is in Cranford,Hounslow. The second time was on Tuesday 8Th September, she was seen at Cranford community college, then heading towards the bridge. Amber seems OK in her appearance but now has a limp, her front right leg. After speaking with the dog warden,i was advised to take the boat back to Bulls bridge as Amber may be trying to make her way back to the boat.Myself and my partner have taken the boat back. My partner has been out looking for Amber,he has been speaking with people from that area who say they have seen a dog like her in Cranford park,it seems she is still in the area.Moving around quite a bit,as no-one can get hold of her,she is nervous   I have left a message on owner's answer phone & will send scenting instructions. .Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
