- What a gorgeous boy. What a tragic end to a young life. God bless you little one. xx
When God had made the earth and sky
the flowers and the trees,
He then made all the animals
the fish, the birds and bees.
And when at last He’d finished
not one was quite the same.
He said, "I’ll walk this world of mine
and give each one a name."
And so He traveled far and wide
and everywhere He went,
a little creature followed Him
until it’s strength was spent.
When all were named upon the earth
and in the sky and sea,
the little creature said, "Dear Lord,
there’s not one left for me."
Kindly the Father said to him,
"I’ve left you to the end.
I’ve turned my own name back to front
and called you dog, My friend." Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2009-09-03 19:41 Aunt Stef - Area Volunteer, West London

- 7.05pm Just had a terribly sad call from Rex's owner ... they have just been notified by the dog warden that Rex was involved in a RTA in Ilkley around 3 am on Wednesday. The microchip details match along with his description. He went missing 10pm Tuesday night in Girlington so how he got to that area in such a short time is a bit of a mystery for the owners. I'm so, so sorry your lovely boy didnt make it back home and too young to be at the Bridge. Run free at Rainbow Bridge Rex and enjoy the sunshine. Helen xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Spoke to owner a few hours ago but she had problems getting picture onto site. Gave my email address to try do it that way, but looks as if now successful . Brilliant we now have a picture of Pongo as even though described as Akita cross it might mislead people without the picture. He was spotted later yesterday around the area he went missing around 10.00 - 10.30pm last night --- Girlington area, Bradford - advised owners to check around the area he went missing from and they are going back again tonight with some food. It is quite built up area and a few industrial estates around there. Given details of Springfield kennels and Fleet Kennels and advised to get posters in there but also to check in person. The police and dog warden have been notified and he is chipped. Suggested contacting Leeds dog warden also in case he crosses the boundary. Have emailed advise/info to owners Hope this boy is found soon. Helen xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
