The owner of a two-year-old Boston Terrier from Birmingham said she and her family are "heartbroken" after her dog was allegedly stolen outside her local pub.

CCTV footage appears to show Stacey Holland's dog, Skye, being taken from outside the Old Crown pub in Bartley Green on 20 March at around 6pm.

West Midlands police has confirmed that they are investigating the incident and that it is being treated as theft.

They also confirmed that no arrests have yet been made.

Speaking to ITV News Central about how the dog came to be at the pub, Stacey said: "Me and my daughter were cutting the grass in the garden. My daughter, who is four, ran through the house and within two seconds the dog bolted because of the sound of the lawnmower and me and my daughter ran after her."

"Skye escaped from my house and we chased her down the road. We spent all evening looking in fields, we didn't see the dog being taken, we were under the impression that she was missing, then a witness came forward and said they saw somebody chase her".

"The following day a witness told us that they saw Skye being chased by a guy and then she was picked up outside the crown pub. We then checked with the pub and saw this happening in the footage", Stacey added.
"She is basically another child, my heart is shattered knowing that somebody has got her", said Stacey. "I can't eat or sleep, I feel like I am in a zombie state instead of being present, I am constantly trying to find her, putting posters up, it has consumed my life."
The family say there is additional worry as Skye has a health condition known as colitis, which means she has to be on a special diet.

Stacey also says her pet has been spayed, so if she has been taken for breeding then she won't be able to.

Stacey described the moment she saw the pub's CCTV footage, "I burst into tears when I saw the footage, in a sense I was glad that she hadn't been harmed by being run over by a car but then anger took over, how can you take a dog that isn't yours and not give her back."

Stacey urged for the person responsible to return her beloved pet: "If you are worried about the consequences take her to the vet and I can get her home. I have still hope that she will be found and won't give up until I find her."

She also said said if anyone has recently acquired a dog that looks like Skye to take her to the vets as she is microchipped.

It is now believed Skye, has been stolen she was seen being picked up by a male/female from outside a pub. Please help me, my 2 year old Boston terrier escaped from my house at 5:50pm on 20/3/25, she escaped from ALLWOOD GARDENS BARTLEY GREEN, BIRMINGHAM, B32.

BROWN AND WHITE
PURPLE COLLAR
HER NAME IS SKYE
BOSTON TERRIER
SCAR ON TUMMY (SPAYED)
MICROCHIPPED

SHE ALSO HAS COLITIS, AND IS ON A SPECIAL DIET. IF FOUND PLEASE DON'T GIVE HER REGULAR DOG FOOD.

Please help me, I am heartbroken. I've rejoined Facebook just to try and find her
