By the way posters have worked again, as he was spotted this morning a couple of times and the people who saw him called the number on the posters and he is now home. Posters are the best way to get the dog found and home again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Vet has reported Alfie has a broken foot, and it is quite a bad break. so it certainly looks like Alfie has been in a road accident and had bolted, as his owners and others were out for hours looking for him the night he went missing. However, I had told Ann, his owner that I thought he may have been in an accident even though he disappeared in an area of minor roads, and could have been  laying low. This seems to be the case as they had covered all the areas possible and he was actually found less than 2 miles from home. The vet thinks he would have been unable to walk on his foot for quite a long time and has only started to show himself now as it has started to heal.He must have been so hungry and had now  started to look for food. He had been most likely, somewhere that he could hear his owners shouting for him, but was unable to move to come out, or was too frightened to come out. Alfie has to go back to the vet for more x-rays as his foot could be seriously damaged, but however he is home in the arms of his loving family now and apart from his injuries, he is fine. Alfie's owners have told me that  the advice given by DOGLOST was SPOT-ON and they are very grateful for all the help and advice given. Big hug Alfie.xxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Alfie is home. Goodness knows where he has been all this time, but he has been found at a nearby farm.He is thinner and dirty so it would appear that he has been wandering around the area, but as nobody had seen him after all this time despite all the searching by many people, how could that be? He has been in hiding anyway.  However, thankfully he is home. Owners are at this moment taking him  to the vet for a check up. Welcome home boy.x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This dog went missing on a stormy night, last Friday evening. He may have become disorientated in the weather conditions, but he seems to have disappeared. Dog warden, Police and local pound have been informed. Have given advice. Hope he is found soon. Owners are very distressed. Any helpers  offering to search can call owners on 01224783035 or 07708180975. Please help to find Alfie. Owners would really appreciate some help. Have sent fliers to owners and contacted all helpers in the area.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
