Hi Chunks owner. Ive sent you a text also. Please can you check on rochdale-dog-rescue.com. Then click on Rescues in the North. At bottom of that page click the image on the right thats for rescues in the Midlands East Anglia. Near the bottom of that page there is a similar dog to Chunk called Aslan. Hope that makes sense as i dont knoe how to post the pic through to here. Good Luck. PA.

Hi can you check on dogrescuelink.org on Urgent dogs at risk of being pts. There are 2/3 mastiff types on there. Pics arent too good so thought it best you look just incase 1 might be Chunk. Good Luck. PA.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hiya, ive kept looking at the dog on rosedene (that i mentioned earlier)& the more i look i think it does look like Chunk. I emailed Rosedene this evening & a lovely lady replied & she also thinks their found dog looks very much like Chunk. She is going to check when she goes to the kennels tomorrow whether theres any black/grey bits under his neck. Ive texted Chunks owner this evening also. Hope he got the message ok. Fingers Crossed. PA.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Chunk is a BIG dog, someone must have noticed a new dog in their area?? If possible try to go back to the time Chunk went missing and what was going on, and who was around (delivery people, kids, postman??) Have you tried over near the boarding kennels, not far across the fields?? As soon as there are sightings we can rally round and come up and help look. Good Luck - thinking of you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Bumped due to new pictures. Please note Chunk is quite light sandy brown. Picture of him sitting makes him look darker. He also is quite long on the leg. Quite a tall dog.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Chunk is in this weeks Fenland Citizen, hope this jogs a few memories. Try other lost and found sites too and not all descriptions are same so think laterally, might be described as red, sandy, tan, light, and may not be described as mastiff. Thinking of you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great publicity everyone, lets keeps things rolling now, Saturday tomorrow and busy day in town, anyone who has time to hand out leaflets/posters, however few might just be the one that brings Chunk home. He's not far from where Bubbles was found. Might he have tried to go back to his 'old' home, over the fields?? or favourite walks? If anyone can help owner to get a large A2 or A3 poster (laminated if poss or covered in plastic) put up in a very central place in Wisbech centre that would be great.Should be on Petsearch column soon too.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just sent this story to Emma at Fenland Citizen, they are always very helpful to us so fingers crossed we get some publicity and spread the word about Chunk. Everyone keep postering, try bookies/pubs/tesco/supermarkets/any place people go in large numbers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to owners this morning as I wanted them to check a dog in a pound at leicester, but sadly not Chunk. Owner has been getting posters out there and has now put some large boards up advertising Chunk as missing on the road. Sounds as if there is a possibility he has been picked up in a truck or lorry  for his own safety, as there were tire skid marks on the road, and trucks were heard pulling up sharp on the night he got out. No sign of an injured dog around the area, so possibly now taken and kept, or taken out of county and handed in. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Kieron ! that is very very sensible advice, and did bring your lovely Jessie home. Owner is not on internet yet though, as recently moved home. Do feel free to give him a call on the number on the poster. He is in bits about losing his dog, and his mum is trying to help him, as Ann did you. Thanks for notifying farmers. Thats very important, and a great help.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi all i live in Parson Drove just around the corner i will get on the look out and will notify some of the local farmers who are always out in the tractors. I would also recomend to the owner as when i lost my dog get as many posters and flyers out there asap also get some old ply board and make some high visability road signs going in the village out of the village also near shops etc on the main road into wisbech. it was a road sign with my number on that lead to me getting my dog back - good luck i will get some posters up asap thanks Kieron    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can now confirm that Chunk escaped from the garden as was seen squeezing under the fence. So unless he has been picked up and taken, he could still be out there loose. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ok - Have spoken now. Chunk has gone missing from the garden at Mountbatton Drive area PE13. It does seem quite likely he has been targeted and stolen, but there is a slim chance he has squeezed out of the garden. Advice has been given. Will do posters as soon as I can.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
