Thanks Linda, I'll email the posters to you when I get home from work.  Dogs have survived for weeks/months on their own and great when the sightings start to come in.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could you pls send me the poster again -my PC has crashed and I have lost  access to the original. Am keeping my fingers crossed, too and hoping and praying!  And the fact that, a whole month later, there have been sightings must give fresh hope for Amy's people, too  It would still be interesting to know the location Oscar was lost from - might give some pointers in working out where Amy could be - who has been missing the corresponding time. Phil has left a message with further info.  Sightings have been in the Sticks Pass area near Greenside Mine.  Friend was going over to the area depending on the weather which has been bad over the past few days.  The dog is reported as very nervous and does have a red collar on.  If anyone can help with the posters it would be great.  I he is seen please ring owner to give him the sighted locaton, DO NOT TRY AND CATCH OSCAR, his trust needs to be gained and a feeding pattern set up.  IF SIGHTED CONTACT OWNER. Fingers crossed it is Oscar and he can be retained in the area.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

11.55 a.m.  Just had a phone call from Phil a Farmer has contacted him via a poster, he said he seen a Border Terrier yesterday on his land (looks just like Oscar), he tried to entice him but the dog was spooked by his own dogs.  The land is in Glenridding on the Fell.  Farmer on bordering land has been notified and was already aware of Oscar missing and will lookout for him.  Phil will try and update us with a more accurate location when he speaks to the Farmer again hopefully later today.  Phil is unable to go to the area at the moment as he has just had a foot operation but will ask someone who knows Oscar to help.  I will email SCENTING/MAPPING Instructions to Phil and have explained that Oscar may not recognise him and instructions on how to behave are also in the Instructions being emailed to him.    Really hope this is Oscar.  The area is used a lot by Fell Walkers, if Oscar is picked up and still has his collar on Phil's phone number is on it.  Good luck Phil this is the break you have been waiting for.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Saw notification of Oscar being missing on Wednesday evening whilst looking for Amy.  Obviously, will look for him too.  Would be helpful to have better location details, i.e both home and the 12-mile away location where he was last seen.  I am in CA11 - Troutbeck. Spoken to owner, it was a family member who registered Oscar on DL.  Oscar has gone missing approx 12 miles from home, they were at a property they visit regularly, one minute he was in sight and then he just disappeared, owner feels someone has picked him up and possible taken out of the area.  The area he has gone missing in is very open land and their is wooded area not far.  There have been no sightings of him at all.  Owner does not think he would make his way home as normally travels to area by car.  They may not have a recent photo of Oscar, I've gone through getting a similar one perhaps from the breeder, Oscar looks like his parents.  Will email further advice/info and once we get a photo will do various size posters.  Owner has heard about Amy SBT missing in same area.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tried to ring owner no answer, text sent requesting photo.  This the same postcode Amy SBT has gone missing in, would be great if owners and helpers could look out for both dogs.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Phil sorry to see Oscar is missing, thanks for registering his details on DL.  Can you upload photo/s or email to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 19892) any problems with a photo let us know. You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Once the posters start getting circulated hopefully you will get the call you are waiting for. Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  If you get any sightings let us know or if he is reunited with you.  Good luck and hope Oscar is back home with you soon.  Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
