It with sad regret that Toby is being moved over to Rainbow Bridge.  He has been involved in a fatal RTA late Sat evening or early hours Sun.  Incident was not far from where Phil had sighted him.  I had a message from Phil and have just spoken to his mum.  Toby's family did so good in their search and they came so close to getting back.  It was due to a poster that they were contacted, thank you to the kind person who did this. Deepest thoughts are with Toby's family at this sad time.  Run free at the Bridge and sweet dreams lovely boy, good night god bless.  Family would like to pass on their thanks to DL for all the help given.  I'll email out those who were emailed details to let them know the sad news.  Jan x

I'm glad that Toby has been seen again. It will be very frustrating after seeing him  and then not being able to catch him, but the important thing is that he is still around and hopefully it will only be a matter of time until he is caught.  Any further sightings would be helpful to establish a  pattern/area where he is moving around. I would recommend putting up more posters in the area he has last been seen (if not done already) in case there are more sightings Keeping my fingers crossed Toby is caught and renunited soon Helen x

Phil it's great that you've had a sighting of Toby. At least you know he's ok even if he's still on the run. I've emailed you some information on how to approach dogs in this situation that you might find useful.

mazingly, whilst outdriving home from a friends last night at 10.45, on a back country lane between Carlisle and Cumwhinton my lost dog ran out infront of my car.  To say I was gobsmacked wouldbe an understatement.  Anyway, i stopped the car, called him and he stopped, but when I approached he just kept running - into another field and off again :(  However he is now heading in another direction back inito Carlisle and the Parklands Estate.  I searched for over 4 hours but to no avail.  I have been back out again today and also postered the area.  Just thought I would update you with this news

Various size posters now done and emailed to owner. Toby was last seen running up London Road towards the M6 Motorway, Junction 42.  I've given owner contact details for Highways Agency.  Jan x

Thanks Yasa you are a star, I'll email usual local info/advice and do various size posters a.s.a.p.  Toby went missing with another dog which was later found, family have been looking for Toby since.  I've gone through some things to do with Owner's relative.  Not everyone will know what a Boston Terrier is so great we have the pics so quickly.  Jan x TOBY IS ON PERMANENT MEDICATION FOR FITS.  Have stressed the importance of contacting vets as far out as possible.
