Have spoken to owner. This is another oldie that seems to have just disappeared off the earth. She was lost on a walk in Sandy Lane, when she simply bolted off around a corner and owner searched with other two dogs but couldnt find her. It was about 6.00 pm then, so getting dusk. She was then seen later that eveing and again bolted when someone went towards her. She is relatively fit apart from stiffness in her legs, but is going slightly senile with age so could have become dissorientated. The main worry is the nearness of the river, but this has been searched as best as possible. Owner has done brilliant publicity job and has village people searching all over. Posters have been put up over quite some distance and every day owners are searching for about 5 hours with their two labradors trying to pick up a clue. Hedges have been searched under, and tractor men, farmers and game keepers are all aware and looking for her. Vets have also been notified. I have given some more numbers of rescues to ring, which havnt been covered so far, and owner will call the road authorities in case of an RTA. Postmen and bin men will be given flyers tomorrow, but hundreds have been given out already and door to door flyering has been done. I just hope to goodness someone has taken her in that cannot get to a vets to get her scanned. She also may have been described as another breed as she has big floppy ears. Hopefully photo will be sent through to us soon.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
