Here is the fab reply
"Someone phoned me from a poster yesterday morning because Scooby had literally just been spotted in an area well away from all the previous sightings the day before. We dashed over there but couldn't find her. Did loads of door knocking around that area. I then drove to see a farmer I know who's even further away but in the same sort of direction. I very nearly didn't bother because I thought he was a bit far out. But he has loads of land so I thought there was a chance he might have livestock close to where she was seen. He took my number with him because he was just about to go over that way to some sheds he has there.
Later in the day he phoned me because he was following her down the road in his landrover. I got in my car and a couple of minutes later he phoned to say that his brother had managed to get his landrover in front of her and cut her off. So with one behind her and one in front she had nowhere to go. She quite willingly jumped on his front seat! Maybe the smell of sheep and cow poo was familiar enough for her to trust him (she lives on a farm)!
She recognised her mum straight away,  we were so overjoyed I can't really put it into words!
She was VERY tried, had a few bramble scratches, had worn some claws down to blood and was a bit dehydrated but other than that was fine. It could've been so much worse. We called the vet incase they had any advise on what to do but as expected it was rest and relaxation with water and food little and often for a day or so. We gave her some Metacam to help with her aching limbs and she slept VERY well in front of my fire!
She's now back at home with her family and we're all trying to catch up with our lost sleep!
Thanks so much for your help."
Welcome home Scooby xxx

Scooby was being look after by a friend , she took off for no apparent reason in a very rurual area , owner has now come over and is also helping with the search, Sccoby has been sighted but is running at the moment in blind panic, have given advice on keeping things quite so as not to scare her& will send scenting instuctions in case it will be necessary.
Dw, Police, Chip company (she is chipped to Norfolk) lots of postering have all been done.
Please look out for Scooby & good luck xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
