- I am so pleased and relieved Kezzie is home, ( almost feels likes Dylan all over again ).
What lovely people to get her back home safe and sound, but yes sounds like someone had her previous, especially how cold and wet it has been this past week,..
right now for her to get chipped and tagged, and a good meal and a cuddle.

- Email received from owner's daughter:
Just wanted to let you know that thankfully Kezzie was found last night after a couple saw her photo in the Bromley News Shopper. All very strange, apparently they called my parents between 11pm and midnight and said they had just found her last night in the bushes in Southborough Lane Bromley Common, which is where they live.
They did the correct thing and called RSPCA and saw Kezzie's photo in the Newshopper. They called my parents and took Kezzie straight round to their house. She has lost a tiny bit of weight and is nervous, but otherwise ok. We can't understand what happened, as if she had been outside in the elements for almost a week she would have been in a worse state. So pleased to hear that this little girl has been found. I hope that she will be receiving a collar, ID tag AND microchip as a welcome home present. As we know, oh so well on DL, you really cannot be TOO careful these days! I wanted to add my thanks to Baggy Dog, ellejay (who also recruited her work colleagues in the search for Kezzie!) and our most caring and kind Last Chance Friend, Jill. You have all been so supportive, organised and JUST brilliant!!! The couple who returned her were most kind and my parents gave them a cash reward for their time. On behalf of my parents we would like to thank you all so much for your help and we will also thank Gill in the Last Chance Shop. Could you please tell Ellejay as well? - Theres a yorkie on Petsforhomes for sale gone up today...they saying shes 2 years old...but not mentioned that she is wormed, vacinated etc
the description seems odd to me..
only thing is its in Hailsham East sussex..
probally totally genuine..but having my dog been scammed on that site with very similar description..could be very worth the owners looking at the pic just in case , as you never know.

- A nice double-column coloured missing ad is in this week's News Shopper and so have bumped this girl up. Also have received the following email from owner's daughter: Sorry, I don't have access to check my emails everyday so if I don't respond immediately I will as soon as I can. Yes, we have postered all the surrounding area, local supermarkets such as Sainsbury Locksbottom, Jubillee and Norman Parks and also handed out the flyers. I have put an advert into the Newshopper which comes out today and also the Bromley Borough News which extends as far as Tatsfield/Biggin Hill etc. Dad is out and about everyday checking posters etc and trying to remain optimistic. He asked the Post Office to display a poster but they declined. The Last Chance Shop have been fantastic and we are very grateful. Thank you so much for all your help, and also to Ellijay.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Baggy Dog, ellejay, Jill from Last Chance shop and volunteers for helping with the posters - that's very kind. I hope your efforts are instrumental in reuniting Kezzie. Have sent owner's daughter an email asking that she reads and updates Kezzie's page.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Had message tonight from Last Chance Friend. Owner went to shop to collect posters. No phone calls re sightings. Owner been putting up posters near Chatterton Rd & ambulance station. Owner giving out flyers (about five or so). Wildlife ambulance man been told to spread word. Daughter of owner has done 6 or 7 laminated copies of posters. Ellejay - don't think they've had enough copies done for door-to-door drops. News Shopper out tomorrow so hopefully that has advert with picture in. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I had quite a few copies made up, luckily my fella works in Print so he can get them done quiet easy, So i have put up flyers my side of town. Though have not done door to door flyering, do we know if the owners have done this ??
So we are none the wiser as to where has been contacted like rescue centres etc.. ?
I have been looking on dog selling sites still, also found/missing stray sites, but again, no luck.

- Last Chance Friend took the photocopies to the shop yesterday, where another volunteer put the copies in plastic folders & sellotaped up the bottoms, ready for collection by owner today. I also gave LCF a sheet with the mini flyers on (thanks Sable) which she was going to give to owner with suggestion to get copies done at print bureau and hand out in parks and put through front doors. She also mentioned that owner was going to News Shopper yesterday, first thing, to get an advert placed. According to owner yesterday morning there had been no phone calls. It would be jolly useful if daughter of owners could update this site to let everyone know what had been done, as well as any reported sightings of course.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks ellejay, Baggy Dog and Sable! I have asked a family member to update us as owners do not have access to a computer. It would also be useful to know whether a missing ad will be appearing in this week's News Shopper. A friend from the Last Chance shop (ellejay, you met this person when Dylan went missing) is also doing her bit. She collected a copy of a DL poster from Baggy Dog yesterday and has offered to get photocopies done (apparently the owner is planning to collect them from the Last Chance shop today). We just need an update as soon as possible so that we know where we might concentrate our efforts. I do know that Kezzie was sighted at the ambulance station, which is close to home. I believe this was on the same day that she went missing. Perhaps I will learn more from our Last Chance friend.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Sable. I've printed off to give a copy to Jill. I've also printed your email with the advice to give to the owners. Jill has been to Paul Grant's (vet) in West Wickham with a poster, and has also persuaded Raglan School to display a poster. The DW has been informed but no news from him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Kezzie’s owner does not have internet excess herself, so i have been looking on Gumtree and the others for missing dogs, as well as dogs for sale, unfortunatly to no avail, i made some posters up, but the pictures are very small, but its something.
Kezzie looks just like our little girl as well, so its upsetting knowing she is out there somewhere.
Just keep at it, and bug as many rescue centres, vetinary surgeries, dog wardens etc as possiblekeep her high profile.

- ellejay, it was nice to speak to you again yesterday and good to hear that Dylan is none the worst for his little 'adventure'... Thank you for contacting Kezzie's owners and for helping to poster your area. I visited the dog show in Norman Park this afternoon which, sadly, wasn't very well attended but did notice Kezzie's missing poster on one of the tents. Hopefully once things are back to normal after the weekend, you will start to receive phone calls with information as to her possible whereabouts. Don't forget to catch the News Shopper's cut-off date & time tomorrow (Monday) - I think you have to get missing ads in by 10.30am/11am. The staff are really very helpful and the paper has a circulation of around 200,000 and so the best one to use. And don't forget, POSTER, POSTER, POSTER. You really can't have too many!!! Kezzie's family, can you update us as to who you've contacted and where you have postered as it will help us to help you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I cannot stress enough to not give up, try all the dog rescue centres, Foal Farm in biggin Hill, both the Batterseas, Dogs Trust, Animal Samaritans.there is so many out there...
And try all the puppy selling websites, i will try my best to look at most of them.
.
I hope you she is found soon, i know only to well what they are going through, and we need a happy ending to this.

- Have just spoken to a member of Kezzie's family. She went missing at approx 10.30am yesterday (Friday morning) from the Bromley Common area (near to the Crown pub). It is believed that she may have slipped out the front door unnoticed. Kezzie is spayed and has also been recently clipped. Owners are planning to blitz the area with posters: all local pubs, supermarkets and their car parks, post office sorting offices and all posties, schools and nearby college, fish and chip shop, takeaways and mini cab offices, parks (Norman Park has a large annual dog show tomorrow - I believe it starts around 10am - and so ask whether they are able to announce it over their tannoy system) but, in the meantime, make sure that that particular park is well postered. Ask the Last Chance shop at Chatterton Rd to display a poster (I will call my friend who works there). I'm at an agility class tomorrow and so I shall spread the word (Baggy Dog also attends this class!). I will poster Kelsey Park as many people visit there from all over the borough. I will post again with more info. Just make Kezzie the hottest and best known girl in town and... GET POSTERING!!! Good Luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
