- Thanks for the info catty-sara. Snoop's mum had not contacted the Chip Co to update his details. What she meant in her comments was she had not informed the RSPCA that his details were out of date when ringing them to check if he was there. I gave Snoop's mum the different Chip Co contact details as she was unsure of who he was chipped with. In the confusion of just returning home from hols to find Snoop had gone missing she was distraught and confused. Thankfully it has all ended well with Snoop's story. - Really pleased he's home and is OK.
But please note, the updated details for the chip should be sent to the company who owns the database (Identichip, Petlog, Pettrac/Avid eg) not the charity you got him from, unless they have specifically told you to do this.

- Great he is now in the BLUE. Did have a text from his happy mum earlier today to say he was home but as in work I?ve been unable to update his page. I?ve spoken to the RSPCA to thank them personally. Things could have been a lot worse as Snoop?s time was actually up in the kennels. So pleased they checked the poster and it makes it worthwhile emailing them out. This is not the first time kennels have matched dogs through receiving a poster so a big ?THANK YOU? from DL for taking the time to do this. Not had time to speak to Snoop?s mum; who is not well, I did say to her last night once he is home they can snuggle up together in bed and she can concentrate on getting better, he is not normally allowed upstairs but this will be an acceptation at the moment. There is going to be a family party for his homecoming, the family had started getting the word out that he was missing. I have discussed other forms of identification with his mum last night which she wants to get done a.s.a.p. When Snoop was taken he did have a collar on with ID, his harness and toys were also stolen. If Snoop?s CHIP details had been up to date it would have saved a lot of time and heartache, this is why it is so important to update any changes. Look forward to meeting up with Snoop and his mum (when feeling better). Welcome home Snoop, hugs and kisses from everyone on DL. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I now have snoop back . he was picked up by the RSPCA wandering around liverpool 12 in a school. he was very excited when he seen me as was i . he has a touch of kennel cough so we are off to the vets later today. he was brought back to me through the poster jan sent to the RSPCA . if that poster had not reached them when it it this may be a differnt story altogether and he may have been rehomed. my fault as i didnt tell the RSPCA his chip details had changed addresses. so i would like to take this oppertunity to thank the team at doglost for helping me get snoop back. i am elated and so is snoop. can i just add a special thankyou to Jan for her support and for giving me hope . love and gratitude Angela Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- 17.05 p.m. Woo Hoo SNOOP has been FOUND. Halewood RSPCA matched him from the DL poster I'd emailed to them last night. Owner has had a call from them about 5 mins ago, too late to pick him up as they are now closed. As owners details were not up to date they had contacted the old address. Thank you Halewood RSPCA for checking the poster etc. I'll inform those who have replied to the email last night and send a Reunited circular tomorrow once it has been confirmed he is back with his family and moved into the BLUE. Look forward to seeing him with his owner. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Called to owner's house and passed in lots of printed posters to get them up and running as their printer is not working, they can get some copied in a shop and ask family/friends to help. Snoop is a full Staffordshire Bull Terrier and is the big type, he could be mistaken for an American Bull Terrier, which I've advised owner to also enquire about when looking for him. Thanks to the Dogs Trust who have contacted owner in response to receiving a poster which I'd emailed last night. I've also had an email from DL helper Adele who has offered to help with the postering etc and does know the area. Thanks Adele you are a star as usual. LOL mentioned to owner you would most prob be on the case, he looks very much like your boy. I'll contact you a.s.a.p. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks hazel for alerting me to Snoop and putting his details on DL. Had a long chat with his owner. Snoop was being looked after by a family member while owner was on holiday, the property was broken into and Snoop was taken. Police have been informed, I've stressed the important of getting a Crime Number. Family are doing all the right things. I'll email further info/advice and do various size posters a.s.a.p. Snoop's Chip details are not up todate, I've given owner the contact numbers for Chip Companies. Owner has already registered on DL. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
