Yes,I was thinking the same I also wonder if mobile phones play a part. I left my dog outside the doctors surgery last year,he was in my full view the whole time. When i came ou there was a  swarthy man taking photo's of him on his phone and then he was asking me his age etcetera. I refused to tell him and asked him why he was taking photo's of my dog. he said he was sending it to his cousin "who liked dogs" and that every time he saw a nice dog he sent him the photo! i asked him to delete all the photo'as of my dog(a Beardie cross) but he walked off swearing. It does make me wonder if dogs are photographed and there is a "ring" whereby they are stolen for breeding and "matched up" with another one that they find and photograph., before being targeted and stolenLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've just spoken with the owners who told me Molly is very lean and quite small for a 5 month old Springer Spaniel. The tail has been slightly docked but is three quarters long. Two other pups (Labrador and Patterdale) were out of the kennel and run, but only Molly was missing.  (between 1pm and 5pm on 15th October) There is now a reward offered. Dog wardens, rescue and boarding kennels have been contacted and some posters put up. They are also contacting vet surgeries. Details have been crossposted to K9 Search UK, Petsearch, ObedienceUK, ukshowdogs and also I've put them on Animal Rehoming UKLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
