Owner contacted by vets as they know who it is and as i was speaking to them the finder came in with the dog. They will sort and this dog is always getting out and thats why they dog warden insisted the dog was chipped. Cant answer why deatils not logged but vets will also sort this as well.  CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

When a chip is implanted the owner gets a copy of the chip details and the paper work is sent to be registered by the vets/ warden etc. Details are then logged at the company- so until they get the paper work there is nothing held. Owners then get confirmation by post with printed copy and what to do if details need changing- or dog is lost etc. So human error can cause this system to fail. In this case the batch number is recent therefore this dog may only just have been chipped and paper work is in the post.   Until a method of logging this all on compute directr this sort of thing can and does happen.  Hope that exlains it.  CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
