- After what seemed like an eternity, we were finally reunited with our boy after a very dramatic day of frantic phone calls and searches through remote countryside. Our emotional reunion was like a scene from a Walt Disney film and there wasn't a dry eye in the house! Thanks to everyone at Dog Lost and especially to Helen for all her help and support. Upon her advice, we placed many posters around and it was in doing this that got Hickry back to us. He has lost a huge amount of weight and was absolutely exhausted but is happy to be home receiving lots of love and cuddles. Thanks again. Hickry and Family XXXXXX Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Just had one very happy owner on the phone! Hickry was found thanks to the many posters that Lisa put up. He was found not far from where he went missing and although very muddy and a lot thinner he is fine. A big welcome home Hickry xxx I'll leave Lisa to tell the whole story and thank you very much for your kind offer of a donation xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have spoken to the owner and sadly there has been no more sightings of Hickry. The owners are still postering the area heavily and keeping his profile high. Although he is wearing a fence collar this was mainly to keep him out of the neighbours property and so he is still able to get in if he returns home. Keep safe Hickry xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hickry - how far excatly would you say this sighting was from home? Does he know the area at all ? has he walked there with you, and would he know his way home from there? I'm hinking maybe you could scent from where he was seen back to your home, or is that unrealistic? It also depends if it would take him across any busy roads, which we dont want. Are there any outbuildings, barns, stables around the sighting, anywhere that needs investigation? He would probably be able to find food around where animals were housed. Also have you done a door to door on any properties, farms etc, and a flyer drop? If one person has seen him its most likely that so have others. We really need another sighting now as soon as possible. Keep your chin up, and just keep going, and you WILL get some news. Rooting for you. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- After almost giving up hope, we had a phone call from a person yesterday to say that she had seen him on Sunday 18th October at approx. 6.pm on the Wood Dalling Road just outside Reepham. He was covered in mud and she thought he was a wolf which is a good way to describe him. She tried to call him but he ran off back towards Reepham which is so close to our home. He is wary of strangers but is not dangerous Checked out the area and put out more posters, We were full of hope after the call but I'm beginning to feel really anxious again as it's now been four days without him. My emotions are up and down and we feel like our world has been turned upside downLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- A4 Poster and flyers created and emailed to co-ordinator Helen for distribution. The flyers are handy for giving out to dog walkers and for posting through doors. I hope they bring you luck with Hickry. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have contacted the owner and Hickry went missing on a walk a few miles away from home. Hickry never normally wanders off and the owner feels sure he would have found his way home so he may have been picked up. Dog wardens, police and local councils have all been notified. I have advised to flood the area with posters and contact local radio and local papers. I have sent contact numbers for Norfolk vets and rescue centres. Also sent general infomation sheet. Stay safe Hickry until you are found xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
