Hi
Just to let you know, the chi that was found last night is not Nugget.
He was brought to me in the hope that he was, but he's smaller and paler.

Sorry for the delay, have been waiting for news from owner. No news i'm afraid, Nugget is still missing, the last sighting proved to be false :( Will suggest a fresh poster campaign around the area of the last confirmed sighting. I hope you are safe and warm somewhere little man :( xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Adele for the text alert and email.  This does sound very promising and keeping fingers crossed it is him.  If they have no luck tonight it will be a sleepless night for the family.  Hope tomorrow brings the news we are all waiting for.  Good luck.  Jan x Bumped due to telephone call.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to Nugget's owner tonight. She has now got posters covering all bus stops and also covering most of Rucorn Old Town. She has gave posters/leaflets to taxi comapnies, bus stations, fishing tackle shop, betting office and any passers by. There have been no reported sightings of him now for quite a while. I was told that the text i received from her friend saying that he had been sighted in runcorn old town was false, the friend must have got mixed up with the details unfortunately. He was sighted walking over the bridge heading towards the old town on the day that he went missing, nothing confirmed since then. I don't know what else to do, where else to try! I have driven around everywhere possible, postered everywhere possible. Owner is doing door to door leafleting in Runcorn Old Town in the hope that somebody has taken him in and maybe unaware that people are frantically worried and looking for him. This little man has been missing for too long without any sightings, i really hope that he is safe somewhere, i just want that one call to say where he may be. Come on Nugget, please little man, show yourself xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No more sighting's reported i'm afraid over the weekend. I was really hoping he would be found after the sighting's we had. Text from owner today to say that she has postered Runcorn and a few collegues have seen the posters and have been out looking for him, nothing yet though. I haven't been able to get to Runcorn yet as the bridge has road works which are causing mayhem. Come on Nugget, where are you little man? We need you home safe and warm please xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As a result of Nugget being in this weeks local paper, there has been 2 phone calls with sightings. One sighting was the day he went missing, heading over the local bridge. The 2nd sighting was from this morning, seen wandering around the Runcorn old town. So he has gone further afield than i had thought. Owner has called to say that she is going to poster the old town asap. All vets in that area have been notified and i am going to be really cheeky and visit our local bus depot and ask the drivers if they will take a poster, or even a leaflet and keep a look out. The bus goes right over the bridge where Nugget was seen heading, and right into the town where we now believe he is. I will also have a drive aorund and see where i can poster, all bus stops heading into the old town will be covered on by Monday.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Done another few posters today, could not do much due to the rain! It's been horrendous here :( I hope Nugget is somewhere safe tonight with the fireworks going off. Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Phew, what a day! I have put out more posters, especially around the point of where the last possible sighting was. I searched that area for a good couple of hours, there is so much open land! It was a really blustery day so i am hoping he was sheltering somewhere (hopefully somewhere nearby!) I stopped a few people dog walking and asked them, they had already had one of my leaflets through their doors and were keeping a look out for Nugget on their walk. I spoken to the lady who runs the childrens club just near the sighting, it's more of a hut smack in the middle of the open land i keep checking. She advised me to speak to the head master of the local school and ask him to check their CCTV as it has 24 hr surveillance and covers some of the land so that is my plan for tomorrow.  If i can at least get a definite sighting and a date then i know i am on the right track at least! I really wanted to get something today, even just another sighting. I am dreading the fireworks tomorrow night :( Stay safe little Nugget, i will find you soon little man  xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just received a phone call from owner, as a result of our leaflet drop she has had a call with a possible sighting just a few days ago, near a school which is right next to the open land that i keep getting drawn back to! I will put out more leaf;ets tomorrow and search the same land again, there are quite a few hide outs for a small dog there, i just have a feeling that he is around there somewhere, don't know why but i'm going on my instincts. Hope to get more sightings soon xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just postered the local chemist, children's playground and all bus stops in the immediate area. Owner has postered the 2 local shops and the chip shop also, i checked they were still up and they are. Had a quick look again around the open land near to where he went missing from (due to being panicked by a missing man hole cover). Have also done door to door and leafleted half of the main road through the estate, owner has a relative to do the other half. Will print off more leaflets and do some of the side streets tomorrow. Could only do so much today as my daughter is off school sick, had to leave her on the settee with a blanket watching animal planet :) Come on Nugget, let's be having you xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Had to delay the search this morning due to really bad weather. Have spoken with owner tonight and arranged to do door to door tomorrow. I will do one half of our immediate area and owner will do the other half. Owner is doing all the right things, she has phoned the RSPCA again today, no luck unfortunately. Owner has also printed off lots of posters for family members to put in their cars. I will poster my half of the area tomorrow also whilst doing door to door. Owner says Nugget is a "bit of a tart" and will go to anybody, bless him, so we are hoping that somebody has took him in out of the rain and away from the fireworks. He is well known in the immediate area where he escaped from so there are lots of people keeping a look out for him. Hope to have lots more posters up tomorrow. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

01.13am I have just been out searching with my hubby. We searched all local food places, back alleys and any hideaways available to a small dog. Spotted a few bin bags ripped open with food spilled out, not far from owners home. This could be due to foxes but i am hoping that Nugget is still nearby. I will be back out in the morning and will speak to all local dog walkers and get Nuggets face and details out there. Will also poster local shops and food places asap. Hope you are warm and safe Nugget wherever you are xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just got home from a halloween party but on the way home i drove up to the area where Nugget went missing from and had a look around (with my full beam on my car!)  there are several ways that he could have gone, definitely going to do the walk tomorrow morning, come on Nugget, let's be having you home little man xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Adele great you have been in touch now with his family.  I spoke to them about the walk we did and discussed the part where we ended up on the route, which is a great place to spread the word.  I'll liaise with you and see what time you are going and if poss meet up with you.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have just spoken to owners mum, they are all devastated and want Nugget home safely. She said he doesn't like the dark and gets scared by loud noises. The area where he has escaped from is right next to a regular dog walking route (jan, it's our sponsored dog walk route) and so i am going to do the walk tomorrow morning and hope to get some details out to passers by. Have said i will phone them again tomorrow and arrange to do door to door on monday if he is not found before then. Hope to have him home safely ASAP. Stay safe Nugget xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner, it is a relative who registered Nugget on DL.  They feel he may have gotten out of the garden, yesterday evening (Thursday).  They are not sure if he has been spooked by a firework.  The RSPCA, all local vets, Police, DW and out of hours DW have been contacted and  postering started.     I?ll email further advice/info and do the usual posters so they can do door to door postering.   Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
