Hi there, I am sorry I have not replied sooner, I came down with the dreaded swine flu the day after my partner and I found the little doggie so have only just been able to get out of bed long enough to update this message. We took him to Holly Trees Animal Rescue at Whythall. The number on the dog lost page is the direct number for the sactuary. My mother was rung by Petsearch yesterday morning and apparently someone has come forward to claim him! I dont know too many details but I was told he came from birmingham so am wondering if he is the same doggie as in the photos? My partner has photos on his phone so I have asked him to send me them to upload, even if he isnt the right doggie, it atleast verifies to any other worried jack russell owners whther it could have been their dog. He had quite a little adventure the night we picked him up. He was wondering down the road where I live with my parents. They have a border collie, and I have a bearded collie cross whom I was taking for a walk at the time. I became very concerned when the little jack russell darted across the road totally unaware of the traffic to say hello to my collie. By asking neighbours I was told he'd been wondering the area for most the day and several people had tried to catch him but to no avail. Think the sight of my collie did the trick!  It was quite a journey to the vets to find an emergency service to test for a microchip on saturday afternoon, we were very disappointed to be told there was no chip. I would have taken him home to look after over the weekend but my mom and dads collie is a dominant male and he wouldnt have been to friendly with him! So my mother suggested Holly Trees Rescue where they adopted their dog from, a brilliant organisation where I knew he would be well looked after until reunited with his owner.  He sat on my lap all the journey and kept nodding off bless him, think he'd been tired from all of his adventures. The whole afternoon he continued to be alert and wagging his tail and so I am sure he was not in distress. I know I am rabbiting on but I know if it was my dog lost I would want to know what had happened to them and know they were in safe hands. It also may give other distressed dog owners reassurance that there are a lot of people out there willing to do everything they possible can to reunite their dog to their owners! Kindest Regards, LauraLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
