It is with sad regret I've received the news we do not like to hear it was Charlie that was involved in a fatal train incident. Deepest thoughts are with Charlie's owners at this very sad time, Run free at Rainbow Bridge and sweet dreams lovely Charlie.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner today, they are still waiting for Network Rail to get back to them about the dog on the track, Network Rail have said a Specialist Team needs to be brought in from Leeds and it may not be until Saturday (today).  If they do not contact owner they will ring NR again.  Horrible waiting game at the moment for owners, they will let us know when they hear any news.  We are all thinking of you. Owners have had two reported sightings of a dog in the Hatterlsey area which is approx 5-10 min by car from owners home.  Hopefully this is Charlie and not the poor dog on the track.  Contact numbers: DW for Hattersley area 0161 342 8355 (during office hours) 0845 241 7253 (out of hours) Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home 0871 918 1212  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Text sent earlier tonight to owner, just received the following reply: We have found a dog that meets the descripton, looks like him and same build, he's been hit by a train and we have to wait to identify the body. Thank you anyway. Fingers crossed this is not Charlie, but sad news for whatever poor dog it is.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
