Owner is getting friend to check found dog 20776 just to rule him out.  More posters are going up in the local area and a lost advert going in Bristol Evening Post.  Come on boy, show yourself.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You have to look at the semi circular patch of white on the top of Balloo's head, this is different to found husky 20776, I must admit I had to check several times.  The chip can always be missed though.  As the owner doesn't have online access, perhaps we can get her son to check via facebook?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I do agree keo61 they are very alike, but Balloo has blue eyes  (not sure about found dog ) and found dog seems darker on body/face but would be good if owners could double check, also Balloo is chipped but could of been missed?? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Balloo couldnt be the Found dog 20776 could he - I couldnt tell from the photos.

Balloo's owner has just collected more posters from me as she has offers of help to put up tomorrow and Wed.  Also gave her flyers for door to door and suggested she get these photocopied (in library/printers) as they can churn them out quicker than me!  Also gave her list of all local vets and kennels, she will visit them all with posters tomorrow.  Show yourself Balloo.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Balloo's owner has just collected some posters from me and she is going to put up in the Fishponds area and towards Frenchay.  Her son is home this w/e and was out looking for Balloo last night and will offer further support.  Come on Balloo, Shadow is waiting at home for you.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Forgot to say we spoke to a lady today who saw Balloo on Wed evening at around 7pm but this was probably just before he went missing.  She saw him in the actual field that the owner said she lost him and heard someone call him then he ran in the voice's direction.  I'm pretty sure this was before he was lost as she was sure of the time.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As discussed with furryhound, Balloo was last seen at 7.20pm on 4th Nov so unfortunately sighting of blue & white dog in the afternoon will not have been of him, but I do hope this dog is found/home soon. ML and I postered in Vassalls Park this morning, from Oldbury Court car park around Vassalls and thru' to Snuff Mills car park.  We spoke to lots of dog walkers who are keeping their eyes peeled for this young man and gave posters to the coffee van man and tea room lady, who were both most co-operative and will show the poster to all their customers.  I hope Balloo is still in this area and shows himself soon.  Come on boy, you need to go home.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just occurred to me, had a report yesterday afternoon of a Great Dane bitch running scared in Frenchay area. I went out but didn't see any sign of her, reported to Bristol DW in case it had come over the border. The caller said the dog was pregnant or just had pups as had lots of milk. I would never have thought of Balloo except that caller said it was large, blue and white. As now know he was in this area when lost I wonder......... Will contact caller tomorrow and ask if they could have been mistaken. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner's son has posted Balloo here as his mother does not have internet access.    He has also created a facebook page for him.  Poster phone is his number.  I've spoken to actual owner who has notified all the right people: S Glos & Bristol DWs, Bristol Cats & Dogs home, S Glos holding kennels.  She has also told many people she usually dog walks with and tea huts in Vassells Park, Fishponds and the other end in Snuff Mills.  The Frenchay end of Vassells is where she last saw him last night.  I will poster in that area tomorrow (ML are you free in the morning) but hope that Balloo is somewhere safe tonight being that dreaded firework night.  Stay safe young man.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jayne, I reckon Stoke Park but BS15 is a big area.  More precise location and we can get looking/postering.  Hope Balloo is found soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
