Bonnie Boo is full of food and fast asleep,  I cannot explain how great this feels,  We have just come back along the A55  from seeing my dad in hospital and have realised just how close to this expressway she was,  She is one lucky dog  or should i say we are one lucky family to have her back safe and sound, the van driver has rang to see if it was her and was so pleased to have been part of this, Such a nice man,  This site is amazing for all the comments and support you get, Dont hesitate when you need help,  Thankyou everyone out there for your support,  And i do hope to chat with you again Barbara and thanks for you phone call,   Sukimax xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fantastic news. Sounds like the Sheltie curse of thistle heads and brambles helped find her. They are a devil to get out the coat. Welcome home you pretty one.

At 2.55 this afternoon i had a phone call from a van driver to say a dog had been sighted about four miles away on St Asaph  business park, Everyone was up there within ten minutes, It took at least another twenty minutes but my son Chris found Bonnie stuck in some undergrowth which he had to cut her out of it,  Have you ever seen grown men and women cry,  Well you should have been there,  We cannot describe the relief we feel, She is now in my house exhausted but very safe and ok,  Thankyou to everyone for your support and kind remarks,  Bonnie is my grandaughter and i was totally a blubbering mess,, Katie my sons other dog,  My three shelties, Molly, Poppy, Luci and of course big Max are thrilled to see her,  Thankyou again Sukimax,  Not sure how to log her as found.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Sue. I'm so sorry that the lovely Bonnie is missing. You've been so helpful to lots of people on here who lost their dogs that I know you'll get lots of help in trying to find her. I'd come over to St Asaph to help look for her but at the moment my car is in the garage having its MOT. Lots of luck to everyone trying to find her. Barbara xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, everyone, Bonnie belongs to my son, We are all devastated, She ripped a hole in the fence last night about 6 pm, Have been searching everywhere since then, Police , vets, dog wardens, dogs homes have all been informed, Posters are being put up , Both sons and wives are out looking, Schools have been informed, Cant think of anything else to do, This is horrendous,  She is such a huge part of all the family, Just hoping someone has found her,  She is a very friendly sheltie, she loves everyone but i dont know because she was scared,  Please we just want her home,  SukimaxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi sue, so sorry to hear about bonny, i have informed some friends who live near you to help in the search for her, she will be terrified and will have gone deaf to everything, and will just panic and run, whoever spots her must not chace her, just sit down within sight of her, and just chat quietly have plenty of treats with you as well, as food will catch her attention, i will be over in st asaph later today to help look for her.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
the sheltie lady
Thank you so much for your email Shelties Mum - I will cross post this at once to the sheltie list and the forum and also the collie forum. Will let all sheltie folk know asap.   If she is sighted, DO NOT CHASE - she will be very frightened, try to coax her with food, and if she is seen and you can get close, get down to her level - if a sheltie is chased, they will run away further. They do tend to go 'deaf' when on the run - even to the owners, so softly, softly if she is seen. I am the opposite end of Wales, but I will do my best to spread the word. Will try and get Sheltie Lady on the case as she's in Wales. Problem with shelties is when they're frightened they bolt in any direction, but are uncannily good at coming back to the original point of loss, so leave something of yours there and if needs be sit in the car and watch. No doubt she won;t be caught easily so advise folk to phone you on a sighting.
Wishing for an early reunion.
