WOO HOO Was chuffed to bits to get the text from Yasa (thank you) while in work, sorry I could not reply.  Thanks Julie for the lovely email I've only just logged on as do not get home until late on Wed evenings.  Great to read the reunion with her sister, as you know Julie Jessie is the same age as my own GSD and I've been so worried about Jessie and it is a big relief to know she is back home with you and your family.  Give her an extra big hug and cuddle from everyone on DL and welcome on board as a helper which is greatly appreciated.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for that info Yasa - that's good to know, as I know Brady, one of the owners. They were responsible for reuniting a long-term missing Goldie from Crystal Palace (do you remember?). They've got 2 boarding kennels: one at Westerham Hill (near Biggin Hill) and another at Chevening (nearer to Sevenoaks) which is where Jessie must have ended up. All very interesting and useful info!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oh wow - so very pleased - that's just brilliant news! I'm so happy for Jessie's owners and for her furry sister. Was it Kay or George, the DWs who picked her up? It's interesting to hear that she was taken to a kennels in Sevenoaks as I thought our local 'strays' always ended up at Battersea. BTW which kennels was it? It was so sweet to hear the account of your two 'girls' being reunited with one another. I'm also absolutely thrilled to hear that you are staying on as a Helper. We were a been 'depleted' in our area but are now starting to build up a good team of Helpers. Baggy Dog one of our other local DL Helpers has decent contacts with the dog handling police section at Catford police station - does your friend work there as it would be great to start building on local relationships with our Met Police. It goes without saying, please, please can both these gorgeous girls have chips and nice new shiny ID tags on their collars as a welcome home present as having ID may have saved you days/hours of worry and anguish?!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Likewise, thank you ellejay for helping in the search for Jessie, especially as you have plenty of local knowledge and have been through it all with Dylan. It is very much appreciated. JulieF10 you are doing brilliantly - it's so important to get those posters out and, believe us, you really can't have too many. You just need to make Jessie the best known and hottest girl in town. I will send a text to Lewisham's dog warden. I know that you have already contacted them but will just make sure that your DW is aware and on the case. Just to recap on tonight's conversation. I know that you have already covered some of these but here is a check-list: all vets (make sure Foxgrove Rd Veterinary Centre have a poster as they provide 24/7 emergency cover for ALL local vets - 020 8650 2003), cab offices (Regency Cabs are very good at Beckenham Junction station), all local pubs, Royal Mail sorting offices and all posties, supermarket car parks (especially Sainsbury's Sava Centre), schools, takeaways, fish & chip shops, petrol stations, parks, your local Safer Neighbourhood Police Team, make sure you contact Lewisham's Street Cleansing dept - ask them to log Jessie's details & make sure you get a reference number. ellejay, are you able to visit the Last Chance shop and ask them to display a poster (and perhaps leave some mini flyers) although you may have already been there. As you know, the ladies there are always more than happy to help! All for now, I will post again as and when I think of other places to target. Good Luck - hope your girl is back home very soon.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ellejay and partner thank you, not too many people like you around. Thank you Jan for your call this morning, it means so much to have support from you all, ive printed lots of posters that you sent me, finding it hard to get them out as my 3year has got chicken pox, going to phone papers like suggested, brother in law printing more off for me too, i'm hoping to cover around the edge of the boroughs where they over lap too. I also took photo of posters on phone and texted everyone i no to pass it on so its on peoples phones. The number on the poster and can be contacted at anytime 0777 228 1435  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

again no problem,  happy to help, i have been in this situation myself so know only to well what you are going through.
If you cant get out at present make use of being at home if you got the free time to get on the net and put an advert up on Gumtree...under lost and found section of the Pets section..loads of people use that site.
Check on dog selling sites such as Pets4homes, epupz amd ukclassifieds.just in case the people who got your dog have put an ad for for sale...( horrible as it is, this is what happened to my puppy, i found him for sale on there )
If you got Facebook, make a page up stating Stolen dog in Catford send to all contacts, that will get as many eyes as possible seeing her. Lets make her to hot to handle over here.

Thats no problem, you are not far from me. I will poster the other end down by the Tigers head and Green man and beckenham areas..
My other half drives through Sydenham to go to work so he said he will put some up on his way home all around that area...
Have you  contacted the News Shopper to put an advert in there ?
Get Sainsburys to put a Flyer up on their Notice Board.and give all shops along the high street a poster to put in their windows..

My german shepherd Jessie was stolen from my back garden, lifted over a 5ft fence, must of been a few people. A very friendly dog, through old age has gone deaf, her sister is waiting here for her to come home they have never been apart from birth to now aged 11. Devastated, myself and my little girl. Please keep looking out for her, she wont understand whats happened, the last part of her life should be with us as she knows and loves.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Julie, sorry to see Jessie is missing, thanks for registering her on DL.  You can print a poster by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above  Dog Information   (you must be logged in).  You need to poster the area as much as possible and make her too hot to handle.  To leave a comment on her page select   Add a comment  just above other comments.  Good luck.  Jan x      Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
