Great news that Farmer is now back in his new home and is Ok after his accident.  Hope the police follow up with the unconcerned driver though.  Happy retirement Farmer.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Farmer has been given the all clear and is returning home today.  I am the happiest person in the world.  Many thanks again to all that have helped.  After the last 8 days of constant support, if anyone ever has a dog lost in the Andover area, I will be here to help.xxxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Today Farmer was run over on the A303.  I was lucky that the police saw it happen, as the driver carried on going.  The police took him to the vets and he is currently having x-rays to see if he has any internal injuries.  I will let you know how he is, but we can stop looking now.  Thank you to everybody who has helped me over the last 8 days.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If you can get the Huntsman actively involved when there is a positive sighting then I think that's maybe the best way to get him back. He should respond well to the hunting horn as it seems it is a sound they never forget! Good luck and I hope he is found safe soon.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sighting today at Smanell at 11am up malthouse lane, I went down straight away and looked, but could not see him, there were some walkers that had seen him 5 minutes previous, I looked for as long as could but there was nothing.  Please keep an eye out for him, I really want him home.xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

have been out postering all day today.  I have had 2 more sightings in this St Mary Bourne area, one on Friday at the Southern end of St Mary Bourne and one yesterday lunch time at Middle Wyke.  So I think it is safe to say it is him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

From owner: Farmer was seen Thursday morning by Vigo School and along Colenzo Drive, he was then seen by me by the Co-op on Admirals way, but would not come to me.
He ran away and I have Two contradicting sightings.  I have One sightings along the Andover Down road and one in Hurstboure Priors where he ran away towards Lower Wyke.  The other sighting at around this time was in Harewood Forest, South of the A303 near Wherewell.
Posters are currently being put up wherever possible, but I have no sighting for Friday of today.  I will keep you posted.

Farmer had only been with his new owner for 6 hours when meter man let him out.  He is an ex hunt dog.  Positive sighting this morning at Vigo Road School Andover and then Haywards heath Forest.  Owner is getting help from Hunt kennels and Huntsman.Given advice on what to do next.  Please phone if he is seen, he is one frightened, confused dog and people chasing him will make him go further. Pls call immediately if seen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
