So glad she's home!
A top tip for future reference. If your scent hound goes missing on a walk, don't leave the area until you've left a worn piece of clothing, or item belonging to the dog either where your car was parked or where you last saw your dog
if hounds are lost whilst out hunting, a well known trick is to leave some of their used straw bedding from the van, then to return early next morning. The lost hound is usually curled up on the straw which smells of the pack

Email received from owner today: Hi Jan, thank you for the posters and the advice.  Would it be possible to change Honi name to Honi and she went missing on the 8th November 2009.  There is also a reward.  I wondered if you would mind adding this information to the website.  We appreciate all your help and are in the process of printing out lots of posters to distribute.  Kind Regards Details now updated, as requested and various size posters updated and emailed to owner and tazmo007.  If anyone requires updated posters please let us know.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have put a couple of posters up at entrances to Haigh on the East side. Gave a flyer to a woman who walks in Haigh every day, and mentioned Honey to other walkers I saw. Family have borrowed my laminator and are making posters to put up. Think once we have laminated ones we can saturate the area :) and I will help with that.
Owner was asking about scenting so I suggested he contact you again for details. Probably doubly relevant for a Beagle!
Haigh is a wildlife corridor and also on the canal, so if helpers are anywhere along the canal or in the Standish/Hindley/Westhougton and beyond, posters could really help if she has been picked up and kept, or spotted still following her nose.
