- Kat thanks so much for posting an update. This is the result we all aim for and great when owners can let everyone know just how they are feeling and gives hope to others still searching. Great you are going to stay on as a helper who better than someone who has been there. Many years ago before DL was in existence I too was in your position my boy, Max 18 month Golden Retriever, went missing from late evening Thursday and was found Sunday and it is the worst feeling ever not knowing where he was and if he was o.k. Myah may stick to you like glue and feel very insecure, she will sleep for England. Give her an extra big hug and cuddle from everyone on DL. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Not long received the following text from Kat: We have found Myah she has lost a lot of weight but she is o.k. We were out postering when she ran out of a side road and I shouted her she hesitated first then after calling her name a few times she bombed over. She has now got her collar and ID back on and will be getting chipped first thing. Thank you so much for ure help frm a happy kat and myah xx Kat I am so pleased for you and well done for working so hard to find her, great she is getting chipped. THANK YOU to everyone who has helped in the search and now have great pleasure in moving her into the blue and letting everyone know she is HOME. Welcome home Myah hugs and kisses. - Next time you ring the police make sure they give you a reference number if they haven't already. They no longer handle stray dogs but are legally obliged to still record them lost and found. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Dont worry about the sheep. My BC went missing, he too was a trained sheepdog and I was terrified he would be shot if he went to the sheep, all very nearby. All the farmers told me not to worry as he would be waiting for a command, so would not interfere with the sheep. I expect she has holed up somewhere to keep herself dry and will pop up at home when weather improves for her. Good luck.

- we have been out every couple of hours looking and no sightings at all yet raining heavily here so hoping shes sheltering somewere she came from a working farm in wales and is trained on sheep which is my major worry have spoken to farmers at surrounding farms and they have said if spotted they will contact me and not shoot as she is not a threat to livestock she will just herd them as she was trained to do i used to work at marina kennels in huddersfield so have tried all routes i know to try find her but no luck yet springfield is main kennels we keep trying but they are not very helpful and wouldnt even take her details in case she came in so have to keep ringing them every few hours as with it being weekend dog warden is not working but people can take the dog to the kennels if they wish they have had two picked up this morning a x breed from birstall and a gsd cross from leeds if anyone has lost one of these police have assured me they will contact me as soon as a dog matching her description is found i have advised them to throughly check collie x and cross breeds as well as people dont always get the breed right so they are letting me know what gets picked up kat xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
