- What a very noble and handsome boy you were Kilo. God bless you sweetheart. xxx
To my dearest family, some things I’d like to say.
But first of all, to let you know that I arrived okay.
I’m writing this from the Bridge. Here I dwell with God above.
Here there’s no more tears of sadness. Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you.
It’s good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they’ll be here later on."
God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do,
And foremost on the list was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day’s chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth and all those loving years,
Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry...it does relieve the pain.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2009-12-05 15:33 Leona*

- So sorry - the worst possible news I'm afraid. Ashmark is offline this weekend, but has had a call from Bill just now to say that poor Kilo is at Rainbow Bridge. He was found dead in the bottom of a dyke, close to home. My deepest sympathy to his owners and friends and family who have helped search so long and hard, and for all you have been through. I'm so very sorry. Bless you Kilo, you were loved very much xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Here here, if he continues to harrass you then contact the police as he is being a nuisance and i would not tolerate that under any circumstances. Stay positive, there have been some fantastic re united dogs over the last few days who have been lost for a long time and they are now safely home where they belong, my thoughts are with you as a dobie owner, i pray for a happy ending. Come on kilo time to come home. xx

- Ask him to repeat his demands in front of the police!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Dont give in to demands there is no proof that kilo was hit by this mans car its just his word against yours, please do not get despondent and believe that kilo will be found safe, he is out there he just needs finding. I wish i lived closer as i would be out there searching with you and i would not give up until i found him. My dobes are precious to me as kilo is to you and i cant imagine losing either of them, the last thing you need is people making such demands, i thought this man said he only clipped kilo with his car, why would he be asking for money for a courtesy car!!! xx

- Just had an email from Kilo's owner Hi, sorry for not responding to texts. I am very frustrated with the situation, the man that thinks he ran over Kilo is ringing demanding money for a courtesy car etc etc. The dog warden is unobtainable, the East Lindsey dog warden site has dogs listed that were lost after Kilo but no mention of Kilo. The family have been out searching fields, woods, outbuildings etc for days now. No sign of him. I am overwhelmed with the help being offered by people like yourselves. Just don't know what to do now. We have put adverts on eBay & Facebook plus other online sites, offered a reward but no sightings at all, it's as if he has never existed. Kilo is a small Dobe but he is still a large dog, if he was lying somewhere, I am sure we would have found him by now, the countryside here is so open & flat. Many many thanks to you & all your helpers. Regards BillLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I've posted Kilo's details to a dobermann group. He's very distinctive so that should help if he does turn up at a rescue centre. He's obviously very much loved to have been adopted from Spain and brought back here. Fingers crossed for a speedy return home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- As with previous comments, dogs are very clever at looking after themselves when out. They always know how to keep dry and warm and will find somewhere suitable.
I would suggest that posters that go to all the vets have his disease and medication written on them so that if he is handed to a vet they will know what to give him, whilst waiting to reunite him with you... good luck

- hi there, i know its hard but try not to worry too much our dobe recently went on his travels for nearly two weeks in the cold, wet horrible weather we were going out of our minds but you will be surprised at how quickly dogs adapt to life in the wild!!! im sure kilo will be eating and keeping warm somewhere. our dog was missing in a rural area with not many people around to spot him it was like searching for a needle in a haystack, we thought we would never get him back but we did. the best thing to do is cover every area, tell royal mail (the postmen will keep a look out and they cover alot of ground), do the posters, police (PCSO are quite helpful and cover alot of ground), vets, local kennels, local radio, dog walkers, horse riders if any, local paper etc tell everyone you can think of and most importantly dont give up hope. kilo will be home soon.

- Hi, just wishing you all the best with finding Kilo as quickly as possible. It's not the time to be out in the cold with a short coat and possible injury. I really hope someone finds him soon. Good luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I spoke to Kilos owner a short white ago, and he has given me more information.
Kilo has 7 black spots on his tongue, he’s wearing a metal chain collar.
Kilo suffers from leichmaniosis. English vets probably won’t pick up on the disease because it is little known here . Kilo already had the disease when they adopted him from a Spanish rescue shelter. Not having his regular medication can be fatal for him.
He is microchipped and there is a reward.

- Owner has just had a phone call from a gentleman saying that he clipped a large dog with his car on Friday evening just up the road from where Kilo went missing. The driver pulled over but the dog had gone. Owner and the gentleman have been out searching the area, including ditch bottoms but have not found him. All vets, dog wardens and rescue centres in a very wide area have been informed. Have advised owner to check with the highways deptment. Have bumped to top in light of this new info.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have just spoken to Kilo's owner and he went missing from a place called Saltflletby which is a very rural coastal area. Kilo has a tropical illness and if he does not get his medication dialy he can become ill very quickly. The illness is similar to malaria and he could end up snorting blood from his nose and it can be fatal so we need to find him asap. Kilo is an entire dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
