Female Bedlington Terrier found on Sunday 17th April 2022. Now with Darlington Dog Warden. You can see photos of her on their FB page.

Just had a reply from Belle's owner. Belle is still missed and the owner would love to have her back for her final years (she would be quite old by now). The owner will check the Chester site.

whilst looking for a similar dog that has been found on petsearchers i been going through all dl site to see if they match. out of interest did the poor little thing below that coralvb posted get the help in end.x

Posted on our misiing dogs Facebook page - "hi everyone is anyone near BOLTON ROAD ASHTON IN MAKERFIELD ? there is a beddlington terrier/poodle living rough and fending for itself been in the area near a taxi office and other buildings over a month, could have been there a while longer not sure if male or female on doglost we have 2 beddlingtons missing one of t...hem a female from 2 years ago and lives only 30 miles from this sighting, the dog warden wont help and this poor dog is fending for itself in all this cold weather. can anyone PLEASE PLEASE help anyone in that area experienced with catching dogs either by trap or other, no one else seems to want to help it, there is a taxi place there and they say the dog has been there ages no one has done anything to help this poor dog/ please pm if you can help or know anyone that can thats bolton road ashton in makerfield" quite close to you. Found female Bedlington on the Cheshire West and Chester website with a photo, will alert Belle's owner to check her out and also ask for an update. Jan x

We found a little grey Bedlington yesterday in Fallowfield, Manchester. We were told at first that she was a Border Terrier. She is old and has cataracts. Good natured dog. Has been sheared and has a lump on her spine. She had a big appetite. Black collar with bones on it. Hope we find her owner. We put poster around where we found her. Jeannie : )

Spoken to Belle's owner who is going to look at the NPR site, also emailed finder to let them know the found dog looks like a Beddie. Jan x

There is a dog described as a Border Terrier found in Manchester on http://www.nationalpetregister.org/fp/3454.htm looks more like a Bedlington to me

Joanna, has had a phone call from someone who thinks they saw Belle yesterday (Sunday 13th Dec) walking across fields, which is between Villages Eaton and Gawsworth, Congleton heading towards Macclesfield.  If they were to walk across the fields rather than drive it is only approx 1.5 miles from where she went missing. Joanna, is going to contact farmers, pubs etc in the area.  Have advised to also let the DW know and use the SCENTING Instructions.  Brilliant there has been a possible sighting and thanks to the caller for making a call.  Good luck Joanna.  Jan x Bumped due to possible sighting.

Thanks for the update Joanna.  Great you have had phonecalls and the word is getting spread.  I know it is hard but it can sometimes takes a few weeks for someone to see a poster etc.  If not already try and get her in some papers if they will put a photo in all the better.  If you do get any media coverage send me a text or email so we can bump her page up.  Good luck.  Jan x

Still no news, but I have had some lovely people call me this weekend who had posters through their doors. They are all still aware of her disappearence and keeping a look out so fingers crossed.

It might be a good idea to visit Cheshire dogs home, Manchester dogs home and City dogs home in Stoke-On-Trent. I would also go into Macclesfield Royal Mail delivery office with a poster to ask postman to keep alook out.

Still no news on Belle, Joanna is going to widen the search. Thanks mark21 for suggesting these kennels, Cheshire Dogs Home and Manchester were in the list of kennels to check but not City Dogs Home in Stoke-On-Trent I'll ensure Joanna is alerted to your post.  Jan x

Thanks Jan and Mark21 Mark I will definately be contacting royal mail - macc.  good idea.  I have contacted the dogs homes but will take a photo to them also. I hope we get her back, we have her 5wk old pups here at home and I think they are missing her just as much as we are,

Various size posters, Scenting/Mapping instructions and advice now emailed to owner.  Spoken to them again tonight they have not long got back from their search, the area Belle has gone missing in is very open land, they will be going back again tomorrow.  Farm houses will be contacted, hopefully once the word start getting spread family will get the phone call they are waiting for.  Good luck.  Jan x

Spoken to owner and given advice etc.  Belle has gone missing  approx 15 miles from their home in Sandbach, they have been to the area and started postering and going back again now.  She has been reported to DW and Chip Co.  Will email further/advice info and do various size posters.  Jan x
