The fantastic ESSW made sure he was chipped and all details up to date before handing him back to his owner, I dont think Charlie will ever be far from his owner again. I shall be seeking advice from our legal team regarding this matter and the owner will also do the same. Thank you again Selina and Izzie for arranging the reunion.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Glad to see this boy is now back home.  It doesn't bear thinking about how far away he may have been rehomed and may never have got 'home' again.  You can't choose your family :(  Please can he have a microchip now?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Wow that was a close shave. So glad he is back with his owner. As for the family member who handed him in as a stray let's hope they get there just desserts.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Jo - Area Co-ordinator, Essex
After doing his 7 days and not being claimed, this fella was kindly taken on by the fantastic Springer Rescue ESSW and went in to foster before being rehomed. BUT....just a couple of days ago the dog warden received a call from one very distressed owner...she had been moving house and until she was settled a family member agreed to look after this boy. There was a bit of a domestic there and a now ex family member (!) ended up handing this dog in claiming to have 'found' him. Owner only just found this out and thankfully he was still in his foster home so ESSW were able to check out the story and reunite him with his rightful owner. Phew! Thanks ESSW!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
