I received a phone call from Trevor to say Ellie is HOME!!  She had been taken in by someone who said she followed them home to Horsforth. The finders saw a poster and made contact.  Ellie was back at home 9pm last night. She has  been well looked after but ecstatic to see her owner after nearly 4 weeks. It's a fantastic Xmas present for both. Welcome back Ellie Helen xxxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I tried to post a comment this morning but couldnt ( it came up with an error message   " something like syntax varchar " ???).    I too managed to speak to Michelle. I got the number through the BT Directory on the internet. It's sad it isnt Ellie .The found one has a bit of white on her too. The finder has notified Leeds dog warden and done a retained by finder form to allow more time to locate the owners hopefully. She has also offered to be a helper on Doglost which is great. I went through to Holt Park area yesterday and put some posters as had a couple of free hours. Spoke to quite a few people who were walking their dogs and gave them posters too so they have owners contact no if they see her.  Lady in leisure centre was really helpful and even took some so she will put some up near where she lives.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pam sorry I was not in to get your phone call yesterday but thanks for it. I was in hospital for most of the day getting injections in my back. Had hoped that the finder could be traced by phone (still no reply to my email) so afraid its a waiting game. I did descibe Ellie to the finder so maybe it wasnt her although it does sometimes take time to get replies from other sites.Probably a good idea for owner to contact all vets in the area as finder was going to take the dog for a check up on FridayLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Trevor no reply so far but still hoping.  Finder of this dog is Michelle BILTON. Just wonder if possible to find her in telephone directory? Perhaps not a very common name? Will let you know if I hear anything furtherLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No news at all yet of Ellie. Her owner really needs help from anyone local with postering and/or searching for her and would be very grateful if anyone is able to do so. He also asked me to thank Helen for all the  help, advice and assistance she has  been giving him ! well done Helen ..... keep up the good work !Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am sorry to see Ellie is missing but am pleased that she is now also registered  with Doglost. I hope it won't be long before she is found and back home.  I have already been in email contact with owner  and advised re postering the area and how important it is to get as many up as possible. I also sent details of stray kennels for the dog wardens in the area so owner can check them.  Tried ringing owner at 6.30pm on landline but no reply - I will try again later.   HelenLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
