- Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry you met with an accident that stopped you from making it home again. Pretty Lottie, sweet dreams. xx
Each night we shed a silent tear,
As we speak to you in prayer.
To let you know we love you,
And just how much we care.
Take our million teardrops,
Wrap them up in love,
Then ask the wind to carry them,
To you in heaven above.

email from owners
Hi Jane
bad news when we got home tonight unfortunately. Someone from the highways agency picked Lottie up from the side of the motorway shortly after Christmas. He saw one of our posters this afternoon and called. Apparently she had lost her tag and they don’t have a scanner for microchips ?? We had assumed that by notifying the police and the council that the motorway police would be informed, but not the case apparently. Thankfully he recognised Lottie from the photo.
Will call you over the next few days, didn’t fell up to it tonight I’m afraid
Thank you for all you help and support
Joanne and Graham

- Lottie's owners phoned tonight so gave with some more advice on areas to poster etc plus emailed some more to them. I have said how important to get posters out. there have been no sightings since she went missing. they live close to woods and she would trot off but always came back when called. they did say that a firework did go off around same time so she may have got spooked. - Hi I?m sorry to hear LOTTIE is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them.
email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already.
You can only print posters when you are signed in.
Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters.
POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog.
Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you.
Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly.
Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!.
If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle.
keep going back to the place where your dog was last seen and leave something with their scent on it there. - Message from owner: We have a black labrador / rottweiller cross called 'Lottie' who disappeared from our garden at roughly 4.15pm on Chrismas Day. She was wearing a distinctive pale blue collar with cup cakes on it. It has a silver bone tag with our home and mobile numbers. 01732 874252 and 07881 781352. She has also been microchipped. She is 7 years old, short haired with a greying chin. She has white hair in the underside of one toe. She has been neutered from which she has a scar on her stomach. She looks just like a big labrador. We have put some posters up in the local villages describing her as a black labrador because thats what she looks like. We have conacted the local police, dog wardens, RSPCA, Viking Oak Kennels, Battersea Dogs home Brands Hatch, and the microchip company has distributed details also. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
