13:30 - Fantastic News!  Just heard from Ozzy's mum and he's been found, in Soham,  and he is with her now at the practice.  He's a little bit thin but otherwise completely fine and seems very happy to be with his mum! Thank you so much to everybody thats had an interest in Ozzy and given up their time to search for him.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

10:00 Just to follow on from Yasa,  Thank you so much Dave for your help,  I've registered with the PFK site and also want to say thank you to the other members that are all also keeping a look out for this little man. I've just spoken to Ozzy's owner, she doesn't know the area very well so isn't sure of the exact places he's been spotted (or if they have actually been him).  She has notified all the local vets and there has been an announcement on Radio Cambridge today.  I'll make sure a poster goes up at my work today,  and that all the nurses are aware of him.  Several people at work live out that way so will make sure everybody knows about him.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks so much Dave. You are a star, and we really appreciate your time spent. Sounds like we need definitely more posters everywhere, to hopefully get more sightings. Its possible he's gone to ground with the weather so cold if he has been lucky enough to find somewhere warm with a food supply. I will see if we can find out more about the last sighting. Thanks again for your help xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A very pleasant drive today and covered a lot of miles. Soham - Wicken - Upware - Swaffham Prior - Reach - Burwell - Fordham. My impression was that its too Large an area and Ozzie is likely to be closer to "home"
Best news was that a farmer close to the sighting at Cockpen road railway crossing had read about Ozzie in an advert in the Newmarket journal so full marks to the owner for that. We left him with our phone number but wished we had taken a few flyers to hand out.
Worst news was that a regular dog walker near Angle common didnt know about Ozzie. That area is densley populated with dog owners so a stray around there would get noticed.
We did see a "brown dog" - actually a fox in Swaffham fen so personally I would discount Wicken Fen for now, its a long way from Cockpen Road.
From that railway crossing Ozzie could have gone in any direction, particularly if spooked by a train. I think my next search would be between Fordham and Burwell. More specific details about that sighting would be goodLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Dave, thanks for your input and help as usual, and a Happy New Year to you all. It would be great if you could keep eyes open around the area for us. I will send you the poster right away. Thanks again xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is quite close to us and we will be looking round the area tomorrow. He has also been listed on our forum here http://z10.invisionfree.com/PFK/index.php?showtopic=6479  However the information and position of sightings are slightly different, by a few miles perhaps.  Also we have not yet received the usual DL poster email which we often get for dogs missing in this area.  The weather here is awful and Ozzie has been out in it for long enough we think..

9:55 am - spoken to family member, Ozzy went missing from the Julius Martin Lane area of Soham,  he has been spotted in Burwell and have a possible sighting in Wicken this morning which somebody is checking out.  Ozzy has only been with the family for 5 weeks and is very very nervous,  unlikely to go to people but may come to other dogs,  if he is spotted please don't chase him. Updated poster phone number.  Fingers crossed the possible sighting today is him and he'll soon be on his way home! x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
