- Blast...eye-make-up running down my face.
Yes, miracles DO happen, especially when wonderful people are involved and as committed as you Doglost angels!
I am so so happy for this dear doggie and his owner, and hope they have many more happy Safe years together.
The scum that stole these poor dogs have changed so many lives, and caused such grief. - 2012-03-07 23:18 Unknown

- This is such a wonderful story that I hope the owner will contact their local newspaper. It's just the sort of feel-good story that should interest them. Contact me if help is needed.

- How fantastic to hear the story of zebedee! It lifts the spirits of all us owners with missing dogs.
Well done to all involved. If all kennels would take the time to check any dogs against this fantastic website, then I'm sure there would be many more dogs reunited with their owners.
Welcome home Zebedee and I hope Denzil follows in your footsteps xx - 2012-03-07 18:53 Jackie

- Thanks for the update Julie, it was a nail biting few hours but oh so worth it - MASSIVE THANKS to you for opening the kennels after hours to make this reunion happen tonight and for the most important bit which you do so well which is CHECKING AGAINST DOGLOST lost dogs pages against the intake to the kennels, it is such a pleasure to have you call up with a possible match and working together does make a difference.
Once again this shows the importance of good photographs showing markings clearly which was ultimately how this match was confirmed.
It is so clear from this picture that ZEBEDEE loves his Dad and that the feeling is mutual, DENZIL is still missing so please look out for him and share his page Last edited: 2012-03-06 21:58:58 by Angus - 2012-03-06 21:49 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team

- Zebedee was found in Hertfordshire. He has really lovely manners but getting a photo to match the one on his poster was a bit of a trial. Finally, with much help from Angus, I was confident enough to phone his owner. The emotion was so clear that we had to see this through tonight.
Zeb had already been excited when we first used his real name but the sight of him when he saw his dad was something else. There were tears all round. He is clearly a very much loved dog and he has not lost any of his feeling for his family. Zeb is not young but I really hope he has a good few happy years ahead of him. - 2012-03-06 20:52 Reynard

- Having lived on the continent for many years, I know working dogs were stolen very regularly and taken to Italy and France and sold. They sometimes turned up again after having been dumped by the thieves/people who bought them, after the hunting season.
Just a thought: how easy is it to take a dog to the Continent?
As far as I know, it only needs the necessary vaccinations for the country in question.
