- Have just spoken to Vader's owner and congratulated him on being reunited with this lovely boy! So pleased for them all. As many of us are aware, it is an awful time when our four legged friends are missing. But thankfully, Vader is unharmed and apparantly, doesn't have a scratch on him. Congrats once again. Stay safe now Vader. Denise xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have been unable to ascertain how to amend my record on your system to show that our dog has been found. Please could you update the record no. 21361 to show that Vader has been 'Reunited' with his owner. He was lost 13 days ago 20 miles from home and found today later less than half a mile from home
Thank you

- I see Vader is in the Herald and the Mercury this week. I really hope that this jogs someone's memory and that you hear some positive news soon. I keep looking every time I am out and about. If you get any sightings and want some help looking, please let me know.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Went for a walk today around Letty Green/East End Green. I took dog food, a bowl, a lead and a fleece blanket with me just in case I spotted Vader. Nothing I'm afraid. Kept looking as we drove back along the Old Coach Road. Will continue to keep eyes peeled when out and about. You are doing a great job and the villages around there seem to have a good community spirit, so word will soon spread. Terriers are very resilient and resourceful - keep positive.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Message from Simon
My wife, kids & I were out on walk on a bridle path on sunday. Vader was off the lead as normal and running around us and in the bushes. After about 10 mins he had not come back (he has never run off in 7 years) so I was looking for 6 on Sunday, 2 of the farmers came out Monday Morning looking down all the Badger and fox holes but not there.
The last we saw him was at the bench around half way between the St Marys Lane & Staines Green Lane (so surrounded by fields).
We stayed there for 6 hours on Sunday - Monday all day, Tuesday Wednesday. So, I do not think he is there but you never know who may have him walk him there as they may think they are doing something good by looking after him or - someone has snatched him.
Thanks for you help!!
Best regards
Simon

- Thanks for the update Simon. Lets hope there are some sightings and/or news soon. If there is anything I can do, please do let me know. Bit difficult to drive around at the moment with the snow, but having said that, if you have any news, the snow will not keep me from getting out and looking. Can you give me some idea whereabouts it was that he disappeared? e.g. Cole Green Track, Old Coach Road, was he out on a walk or was it nearer home? Would he know how to find his way home? Fingers crossed that he puts in an appearance soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Border Girl,
Thanks for your concern and thoughts.
I have registered him with all the vets, shelters and websites. Also, with the Police who have contacted the traveller community and they have said they will make enqueries as well.
I have put posters up in Hertford and the local shops, pubs and lamp posts.
He is a family member & pet who has been Micro Chipped - not a working terrier and never mated, so he is really no good to anyone but is a family memeber.
Thanks again for your support.
Regards
Simon

- Has there been any news on Vader? Are there any details as to whereabouts he went missing?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I'm really sorry to hear that Vader is missing. My friends and I walk our dogs in the Cole Green/ Letty Green area quite regularly. Whereabouts did Vader go missing from? There is a travellers site nearby, which may be worth considering. When posters are ready, I will print some off and put them up when out on our walks, as well as keeping my eyes open. I'll also put one up in the Garden Centre/Pet Shop at Cole Green, as well as Morrisons in Welwyn Garden City. Hope there is some news soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
