Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who helped us to get mack back home, just where he belongs! A special thank you to Jan for all her excellent advice and hard work. We followed everything you told us and in the end Mack actually came to us instead of us chasing him! We also wanted to say how grateful we are to sandy84 for everything she did in helping us in our search for Mack. Thanks to you all Mack is now safe and warm and getting plenty of treats!! xxx   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

21.30 p.m.  Brilliant news Mack is HOME.  One of his owners has just rung up with the brilliant news.  They both went out today and did the right things when they seen him and it paid off, once he realised who it was he was all over them.  Owners are so happy and will update us tomorrow when they have Internet access.  This has made my night and I'm chuffed to bits.  A big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped spread the word and also rang in with sightings and especial THANKS to Sandy84 who made that first call to me yesterday.  Hopefully we will also have a reunited photo to finish his page of.  Woo hoo welcome home Mack and into the blue you go.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi, I've been in Stanley Park twice today looking with no joy.  I've put posters up on the gates and path around where I saw Mack yesterday and where he is known to have been also some of the lads working in the park know him and have taken the phone numbers. I will keep taking my dog there  just in case, poor Mack dosen't know people are trying to help and he is so close to homeLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Seen this dog on sunday afternoon approx 1.30pm. He was standing outside the gates of Stanley Park on the corner of Priory Road and Utting Avenue..
I thought it was odd seing a dog on his own but my daughter and I thought the owner would be close by so didnt stop the car
Sorry so close. I will go to the park tomorrow and help look for him.
Rafa is doing very well and gorgeous.
Kind regards Thanks for letting us know and great little Rafa is doing o.k.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

22.20 p.m.  Spoken to owners earlier tonight, have gone through what to do if they see him.  As Sandy has mentioned in the previous post Mack was seen by one of his owners and he ran away, which was upsetting for them.  IF SIGHTED IT IS IMPORTANT THAT NO-ONE TRIES TO CATCH HIM BUT CONTACT A NUMBER ON THE POSTERS  UPDATED Various size posters now done and emailed to owners with Scenting/Mapping instructions.  Posters  also emailed again to Halewood RSPCA, AIN, Dog's Trust, Freshfields Rescue, Merseyside Pet Ambulance, DL helpers in area and surrounding areas, also Co-ordinator's Goldenfrodo and RileysMum.  If anyone is able to help with the postering and spread the word please let us know and posters can be emailed to you.  Thanks.  Fingers crossed Mack is reunited with his family soon.  Good luck.  Jan x    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

18.00 p.m.  Still in work at the moment.  Welcome on board DL Sandy and thanks for the update and your help today.  I'll contact owner a.s.a.p. and email scenting instructions and go through some things to do when they see him, did that at the beginning but it has been a while now and they will have forgotten.  Fingers crossed we see Mack back home soon.  Over the moon there has finally been sightings of him.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Mack was in Stanley Park on the main field today 1-2 he is ok still wearing his collar but very timid of humans but will play with other dogs.  Spoken to owners husband and give him the info.  Mack is living in old flats in Tetlow Street, Walton Lane which is just around the corner from where he went missing. Mack goes to the park at all hours of the day and night according to a man I spoke to who actually caught him today but had to let him go when another dog attacked his dog whilst we were talking. Spoken to owners husband who passed info onto his wife who went to the park saw mack called him but Mack ran off onto Anfield Road                                                                                                                                                                      .  I looked after that for hours asking everyone if they had seen him with no joy. The park wardens tried to catch him last friday again with no joy I've given them the owners number incase Mack turns up again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to Liverpool Dog's Trust in case he is handed in their, there is another Water Spaniel which maybe seen being walked in the Merseyside area that the Dog's Trust know who the owner is.  Good we know of this one as it can be ruled out in case anyone thinks it is Mack but obviously sightings will be followed up and checked.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks goldenfrodo. Spoken to owner earlier not long after speaking to relative who was looking after Mack, once owner returns home tomorrow posters can start getting distributed in the area.  I've spent the past few hours ringing round vets and immediate rescues, they have logged his details.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner's relative whose house Mack went missing from, he ran out the door when it was opened.  Family searched him immediately but there has been no sightings.  Owner lives in L9 which is approx 2-3 miles away.  Owner is away until tomorrow but someone is in the house in case he turns up back home.  Relative is not sure who has been contacted, I need to get an email address to send local info/advice.  Have given relative some immediate contact numbers.  I've spoken to Halewood RSPCA owner has actually contacted them already.  Posters have not been getting put up, he may have been picked up and not reported to DW yet.  Have stressed that he may be mistaken for a Labradoodle or Standard Poodle.  Halewood RSPCA area aware of the breed.  I'll email out to rescues etc and will try some contact some local places in case owner has not been able to.  Fingers crossed he is found soon.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
