- Hi there. Just to let you all know that Trimble has had a good dinner and is now completely flaked out in his bed. Thank you so much to everyone who supported us and worked so hard to get him home safely. He doesn't have so much as a scratch, despite running down the middle of the A6 last night! Julie ... you are a really lovely person! Thank you soooo much. I will have to bring Trimble down to meet you properly ... securely harnessed of course! Thanks again everyone. Love Gaby, Trimble and family. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Trimble is back home! He found his way into a barn for a kip and was able to be contained until his owner arrived. He is absolutely exhausted, wet and cold but otherwise fine.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I saw Trimble at 9.30 this morning, running at speed across the field on the opposite side of the road to us. He was then seen, about 20 minutes later, by one of my girls. He was on the Tring Road, near the gliding club. He stopped momentarily when Lou got out of her car, then ran towards Dunstable. By the time she was back in her car he had vanished. As far as I can make out, that was the last definite sighting, although there was a possible one a few hours later in Dunstable. The main problem is that which ever way he turned he would be in fields that interlink for miles. They are all heavily populated by wild rabbits, but when Lou saw him he was too scared to be thinking about scenting anything. It has now been snowing for over an hour so, if he is still out there, he will probably be holed up somewhere. All stray dog reports for the area get forwarded to me at night and I have Trimble's owner's number by my phone. Please give me a ring if you need further help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Bonnys owner has some info re someone asking pertinent questions about Bonny b4 her disappearence inc their home address, think it may be a good idea to crosscheck this with the other owners. if anyone wants to email me their email address i can mail you the details back- or give me a ring, numbers on file xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- springerjane i think you're thinking what we're thinking too.... will alert Angus the local co-ordinator - we've just been chatting on the phone about local "hotspots" and sure enough some of them are in Leighton Buzzard, Hemel, Dunstable... these areas are being given to Bonny's owner and I think if we can share out the areas between each owner the entire radius can be blitzed with posters... I think I'm willing to bet now this is no coincidence.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi I?m sorry to hear your dog is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., You can only print posters when you are signed in.
Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. make sure you offer a reward on the posters.
POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog.
Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you.
Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly.
Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found and make sure you offer a reward!.
If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle.
keep going back to the place where your dog was last seen and leave something with their scent on it there Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2010-01-05 18:51 ESSJ - Area Co-ordinator Rutland
