it was an absolute pleasure to re unite Griffin and his family. hope that many more are so lucky. has anyone tried put leaflets advertising the site in vets so that people attending with their pets are given one to raise profile?  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is fantastic news, I am so happy to see Digger is safely back home, well done sallyluvsdogs for checking here.  We do need to raise the profile of DogLost so it is the first port of call for people finding a dog and the idea of Digger's owner doing a sponsored walk is fabulous.  I do hope you are able to make it happen, sadly I am too far away to join in but we could try and all do area walks? Handsome Digger looks so much like my dearly departed Welshie that l am tentatively looking at having another Welshie, I am in love again!  Great he now has a chip too.  Let's hope now that Gwynnie and Mango are home very soon.x.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thankyou everyone for your comments, he now has a smart new collar and tag and a microchip, now snoring it all off in his basket!!  Thinking of doing a sponsored dog walk along our section of the Sandstone Trail to raise funds and awareness for Doglost site and the brilliant work you all do.  will be in about a month or so when the weather gets a touch warmer!.. Will let you know how we get on. Many thanks again........... still can't believe it x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Diggersmum thanks for the update, as you have found out it is a big must that authorities etc are not just contacted to report them missing but it needs to be followed up.  It also proves how important it is for a photo to be uploaded onto the page.  We have had a few brilliant reunited's over the past few weeks that the finder has checked on DL and seen them which is great.  Great you are now getting your lovely boy Chipped, please try and upload a reunited photo or email one to us.  You must be so relieved to have him home.  Didn't have time earlier as was rushing to let everyone know it was him but a very big 'THANK YOU' to Sallyluvdogs and his finder for making a lot of people very very happy and of course the lovely GRIFFIN.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello and a huge thank you to everyone for your help in reuniting us with Digger. A huge thank you of course to Sally for finding your site and for spotting him and to Vicky and her partner for taking such good care of him since last Monday when they found him. We still think he was taken, if not from the garden from very close by as Vicky found him wearing a different collar.  We had informed all the usual people when he went missing on the Friday morning - police, dog warden, vets etc but though Vicky contacted both local police and dog warden messages had not got through -  and its worth saying to others with dogs still missing to keep ringing these people, just because you have registered your dog as lost doesnt mean they are going to remember you. ps Digger will be micro chipped this afternoon!! xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Brilliant news that Digger is home, thank you so much for looking at the doglost site and tying this up.  With luck someone equally as nice may have taken in other 2 welshies,  Gwynnie and Mango too.  Welcome home.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great news! I'm so happy for Digger's family. A huge WELL DONE and thank you to both Sallyluvsdogs and her caring friend who took Digger in and kept him safe and warm. You really are stars! I hope (and expect) that this lovely lad will be getting a chip AND an ID tag on his collar as a welcome home present.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, I am pretty sure I know where Griffin/Digger is. He is safe and sound and such a lovely boy. My friend picked him up wandering around the lanes and has tried local police/vets/everywhere with no luck and he has no tag with contact numbers on. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Received text from owner. There have been no sightings at all. He's just vanished. Owner is convinced he's been stolen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Convinced now that Griffin (aka Digger ) has been stolen, probably by someone local.  Worth considering wherever you live that there are known dog thieves in your area.  We cannot let these people get away with this.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Looks so much like my dear old boy.  Colour of a Welshie is red and white, putting liver and white may get him confused with an English springer.  Looking forward to seeing Griffen in the blue very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
