Brilliant result - owners have worked very hard in speading the word and have got a great result, hope that Dad's hand recovers soon xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Biscuit has been caught, with considerable difficulty, by all members of her family working together. She was not at all pleased at the time, but as soon as she got home she was back to her normal self and delighted to see everyone.

Please give the owners my best wishes, we had a dog out in the wilds for several weeks, dogs are incredibley resiliant and I'm sure this dog has enough sense to realise when it's time to give up and come home! A friend of mine who lives in Norway, in the countryside and rather remote,  breeds Chinese Crested, the little bald dogs, lost a Crestie for 2 days in -12 temperatures, the dog not only survived but came back as if he had been on a rather comfy picnic!

Bumping this up due to sighting. Biscuit has been discovered living on farmland with a group of horses who have befriended her. Luckily this is well away from the roads. She is looking fit and well and is having a whale of a time and does not want to be caught. This is going to be a question of patience. At least she is OK and staying in one place.

I didn't get there yesterday due to weather, but Biscuit's family and their other dog are doing such an intensive search that I don't feel I could have added anything. There has been a blitz of posters and flyers, pound has been visited, vets etc informed, message put out on local radio and a local daily paper is doing an item. The area she went missing is about 48 acres of woodland surrounded by fields. Local farmers have also been informed.

Have made contact with Biscuit's family and advised on scenting. Biscuit is a nervous dog, and will only come to someone who is very quiet and patient. I am only 17 miles away, and unless snow prevents, can go and search with my dog tomorrow.
