oh fantastic news.i best go take down the flyers then haha...i was about to print some more off for my drivers tomorrow to put up on their rounds. Luckily i looked on here first.
So happy for you, and hey if you got a camera why not video the reunion, we do not get to see that sort of thing on here much and it would be lovely to see the look on your dogs face when he sees you.

Brilliant News that Bobby has been found and will be safe until you can have him home on Monday, again an important lesson re making sure that microchip details are kept upto date when moving house or changing phone numbers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

malcolm, it was good to speak to you at lunchtime and hear the good news 'straight from the horse's mouth' . Foolishly, I hadn't checked Bobby's page first (wasn't expecting such a quick 'turnaround'!) and so was just responding to your reply to the email I sent you last night. I'm so very happy to hear that Bobby has been found and that he's safe 'somewhere' awaiting a reunion on Monday! Yes, as you say, making sure the microchip details are up to date is so very important. Just a very small request... could Bobby have a nice, new shiny ID tag on his collar as a welcome home present (well, that's once he gets back home!)? Thanks you for your kind comments and we were pleased to have been there for you in your hour of need. And, as for Bobby, keep safe and no more running away!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

great news - On your advice, we rang PetLog this morning to update to check microchip information. PetLog had already been contacted by the Dog Warden, who had picked Bobby up last night at about 6pm. But as the details on the chip were out of date, they had no way of contacting us - so a real lesson there for everyone....make sure chip details are up to date. As for Bobby, his 3-day road trip is over and he's in some holding kennels somewhere until Monday because we can't collect him until the council arrange for it (something to do with not letting peole know where the kennels are for data protection reasons). That all sounds funny to me, but we're happy that he's safe until Monday. I'd like to thank everyone for their advice, concern and assistance and, as I say, if we hadn't have acted on your advice, there's a good chance we wouldn't have got Bobby back, even though he'd been found. But more than that, to know that there was a network of vounteers out there, who were genuinely concerned was incredibly comforting to us during the period. Thank you....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

You guys are fantastic!!! We had no idea there would be so much support out there....We've 'posted' our immediate local area and park, including Carlton Parade shops and Tintagel Rd shops, but looking at the comments, seems like we'll have to post quite a bit more (got 30 up at the moment). Based on that advice, we'll try and get Nugent Shopping Centre done Saturday and get something at the Walnuts. We appreciate all the help and it's good to know that Bobby is now one of 'Britain's Most Wanted'. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Malcolm, have alerted lots of dog walkers in the Petts Wood walking area and along the St Pauls Cray Road down into Orpington.  Do try and get some posters up in the Walnuts Shopping Centre by tomorrow morning, most locals go there on market day and word will get around I am sure.  Also the postmen are good "agents" they walk the streets and notice dogs ! Give them posters to pass on to their colleagues. Another good poster site will be Homebase car park (especially the burger van). The people at the Retreat Animal Rescue in Crockenhill will also give you some support I am sure. Will change my dog walking route to your area tomorrow. Best wishes. Fingers crossed for you both.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, I?m sorry to hear Bobby is missing.
Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres? give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.
If your dog has a microchip then please let your company know and at the same time check that all details held and up to date.
You can only print posters when you are signed in. Get postering now?..   I CANNOT EMPHASISE HOW VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS & VERY OFTEN THE KEY FOR QUICK & SAFE RETURN ~ IF POSSIBLE PUT IN CLEAR PLASTIC POUCHES TO WITH STAND WEATHER
Someone will try and make personal contact with you soon but should you require urgent help please phone admin who will pass on your details to your nearest available co-ordinator who is able to contact you.

malcolm, I'm so sorry to hear that Bobby is missing. As Angus has already stated, postering is the key and one of the most important aspects of bringing our missing dogs back home. Believe us, you really can't have too many posters! We would advise at least 100 for starters and 200 is preferable. Thanks both to heidi and ellejay for your prompt response - it is very much appreciated! As has already been said, poster: all local pubs, schools, cab offices, takeaways, local sorting office and all posties, supermarkets, parks, vets, petrol stations, inform your local Council - presumably Bromley (give details to their street cleansing dept but make sure they record Bobby's details and give you a reference number), railway stations, Network South East (once again ensure you are given a ref. no.), the dog warden service (LBB's dog warden's service is contracted-out to SDK Environmental), kennels (Woodlands Kennels at Westerham Hill and at Chevening are a must!). I will try to contact you this evening but, in the meantime, good luck in finding Bobby and make sure this little lad is the best known and hottest boy in town!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
